Got an early reservation for a Tuesday night dinner. Searsucker was packed in and out! Great service, refreshing cocktail called the "Peter Rabbit" and creative entres. I had the New York strip with chimicirri (sp) sauce. I'm not a sauce person - this was busting...More

Enjoyed my happy hour to dinner experience here. Arrived at 5:15pm for happy hour in the bar and was moved to the patio for 6pm dinner. Location is outstanding for people watching. Happy hour drink specials are reasonably priced ($4-5 cheaper than non happy hour)....More

This is a group of people that are into food and beverage every day. We had our dinner in a private room upstairs and were 40 people. We had appetizers and dessert to share but selected our own choice of the main course. The food...More

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal here from start to finish, although the service leaves a little to be desired. We did most of the communicating with our server through the gentleman who cleared our plates and filled our waters, which made the flow of the...More

Food was really good but the waitstaff seems a bit clueless and not as attentive as he could have - and we were there around 3pm when the restaurant was not that crowded.

Stayed in San Diego for a conference and got out for some fun and this place was awesome! It was recommended from our hotel concierge and we're definitely glad we listened!

I love reviews that just can't get over the noise to the point where they overlook the amazing the food. Place is hopping, people everywhere, but staff is very attentive, and you simply can't miss on the menu

Searsucker has a great happy hour. Two friends and I stumbled in (and out!) of searsucker after a long day at a conference. They have inventive and interesting cocktails and good wine selection at good prices. I had the happy hour fish tacos which were...More

They said it would be a 15-20 minute wait, but we had barely ordered our drinks at the bar when they said our table was ready. There were several large groups that night, but our service was not impacted in the slightest. The place is...More

Searsucker, located in the historic Gaslamp District of Downtown San Diego, is a nationally recognized restaurant concept by Top Chef alum Brian Malarkey. Menus are both serious and fun, with creative twists on New American Classics for Weekend Brunch, Weekday Lunch, Dinner and Happy Hour. Dishes range from shared plates and small bites ideal for the whole table, to farm and ocean dishes that you’ll want to keep all to yourself. Searsucker embodies the social dining experience by encouraging guests to come early and stay late. Inspired by the simplicity, relaxed and feel-good vibe of the seersucker fabric, Chef Brian Malarkey created a space that invites patrons to relax and enjoy. The airy design features a glass enclosed kitchen, a lounge space with comfortable seating and a lively bar area. Patrons can watch the action, chat without boundaries and feel as if they’re at a friend’s dinner party rather than a restaurant.
