Mexican-American. Good food, good service, reasonably priced. We have eaten there the last few years while attending ComicCon. Always a good meal. What more can I say?

My husband and I have been to La Puerta many times. Normally our experiences have been very good. In fact I have written positive notes about this restaurant on Tripadvisor in the past. Yesterday was terrible. I ordered bean tostaditas and my husband ordered cochinita tostaditas and two beers. There was hardly any beans on my tostaditas. I would guess... More

The veggie burrito was amazing - different from any burrito I had ever had, but in a very, very good way. The salsas were flavorful and unique, the service was wonderful, all around fantastic.

That's really the review in a taco (nut) shell. Hands down the best carnitas tacos I've ever had. Today marked my 5th visit and seemingly they get better every time. No need for hot sauce or salt or pepper. They are seasoned perfectly. Wash them down with a local micro brew on tap and you won't be disappointed...EVER.

I had the vegetarian burrito the first time I visited this place, and WOW. I dream about it it's so good. I'm drooling now just thinking about it. I've since been back multiple times and always make my friends go to try the amazing food.

Ate dinner here while attending a meeting at the Manchester Grand Hyatt in San Diego. It was a short, pleasant walk from the hotel and the food was very good - worth the short wait.

Came here after attending the San Diego Boat Show. It happens to be happy hour so appetizers and quesadillas are half price...woohooo!!! This place is definitely happening. It is super busy on a Friday at 5:00 PM. Luckily we did not have to wait long to get seated. It's very loud inside so it's hard to make conversation with your... More

La Puerta was recommended to my group while in San Diego for a conference. We had a 45 minute wait for a table but it was very much worth the wait. The street tacos and the guacamole and queso - we tried them all. Margaritas are well done and the staff very attentive and make prices are reasonable.

Located in the Gaslamp District just off of Market Street is the wood paneled and brick eatery. Their Margaritas are fresh and lacking the horrible fake green color found in many other establishments. The servers are very attentive! They have Burritos the size of a small footballs and a great selection of street tacos. The music is loud but fun... More

Based on the reviews I visited this overpriced restaurant The food was average, but the worst was the behavior of the staff. When I came to the entrance the lady in the door requested to see my id, I showed her my national ID, which had passed over a hundred airport security checks through the last eight years, but instead...
