We only discovered Pomodoro at the end of our hols, otherwise we would most certainly have returned. It was really busy on Saturday night (so make a reservation), but they found us a table after a wait at the sister pizzeria next door for a drink. Pasta arrabiata was excellent, loads of chicken and nice and spicy rich tomato sauce.... More

We had a wonderful meal at Pomodoro. This was a small, unpretentious Italian restaurant located near our hotel in Point Loma. The food was delicious...we especially liked their tomato sauce.....not rich and heavy, but light and flavorful. Portion sizes were generous. Overall good value, would return again.

I don't have the right words to adequately describe how it feels to go to a restaurant, but feel like you are at grandma's house being served by family and friends. This is a treat not to be missed. On this past visit, we showed up on a Saturday after a day on the water, had no reservation, but they... More

Stopped for dinner with out of town family and we weren't disappointed. Restaurant is small and they do have some outdoor seating. Parking is a bit of a hassle - we had to park down the street and walk a bit, but not a deal breaker unless you have someone with limited mobility. Portions were very large. We started with... More

Went here on a busy Saturday night. We were seated right away and the place is very charming. The food and atmosphere is definitely 5 star. Service was very slow throughout the meal, one minor complaint.

We got here at about 8:00 pm and it was packed. A good indication that it was a great place!! We sat inside (outside was full, but would have been a little cooler). Great authentic Italian food. Great service. Ordered: Veal Piccata, Chicken with Artichokes and mushrooms, eggplant parmesan, and cavatelli. All dishes were outstanding. Go!! Great place in 'Little... More

We've been going there every time we visit San Diego for the last 6 years. It's a charming, friendly neighborhood place, with consistently good food and pleasant service. One time this visit, we were just a little late for lunch and early for dinner, and they fed us anyway! We'll eat there again for sure.

Felt like we were having real Italian food. Staff pleasant. Food delicious. Outdoor seating, pleasant environment. We walked there from our hotel. Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner there.

Discovered Pummaro's after Pomodoro's recommended their sister restaurant because they had a long wait list. Pummaro's is literally next door, the hostess personally walked us over. (Very nice gesture and greatly appreciated.) We were told it's the same owners as Pomodoro's. Warm, casual, modern and friendly atmosphere with a great bar as a focal point. Pummaro's recently opened so it... More

We visited as a family of 4 with two teenagers. We had a variety of meals and all were good. The service was a touch slow in places but perhaps we noticed because we were quite tired. Would certainly recommend.
