I was in San Diego for a convention and ordered Tacos El Cabron through Door Dash. I had the Elote (mexican street corn) which was spicy and delicious, and I also ordered a fish taco and churros for dessert. Everything was so delicious! Next time I'm in San Diego I hope to actually eat in the restaurant. Thanks for a great meal!

Delicious tacos and street corn. My associate had a steak Burito and said it was delicious as well.. this well definatly be a place to return too when in San Diego.

Overall great tacos. The pescado was yummy, though al pastor a little less so. Inexpensive, and simple interior (not for groups) make it a must-stop if you're in downtown SD.

Confession: I tend to take TripAdvisor ratings seriously. This sums up my experience.
The Tacos were OK. Can’t expect service given the menu rates.
I prefer to not say anything more.

After a hard afternoon setting up for a trade show at the nearby Convention Center, I stumbled upon Tacos El Cabrón on my walk to the hotel. Fast service after the Friday lunch rush; I got two tacos - both very tasty - a crispy fish (Pescado) and a grilled octopus (Pulpo). Added a Jamaica from their limited Aguas Frescas (the other option being Horchata). Price with tax and tip around $13.
Inside was a little bland/underwhelming; fortunately the day was gorgeous, so I enjoyed sitting at one of about 10 outdoor stools at a street-facing counter.
Very good food - I’d return! 🌮🌮😋

The pork and chicken tacos were great and worth going back. Pork was very juicy. Guacamole was a bit tasteless so would skip next time.

Pork tacos are awesome. Steak is really good. Extremely nice people and patient. Highly recommend stopping when in Gas Light District.

The tacos were really good. The Carne Asada Fries were out of this world. I wish we were staying in San Diego longer so we could go back and get more. Seriously, wow!

I stopped in for a quick bite with a coworker and we were not disappointed. We both had tacos - pork, steak, fish, and octopus. I had a couple beers too. Everything was great! They also have a 'salsa bar' that has a bunch of different salsas from mild to burn your mouth hot. I would definitely eat here again.

Had the Octopus Tacos and the Elote. The only sad part was that their Pacifico was tapped. The Octopus was so tender and grilled to perfection and the in house made corn tortillas were heavenly. I wish I could have tried more items. The person I was with had the asada burrito and was very happy with it. Items were pricey compared to where I am from (NM), but seemed to be on par with the prices of the other locations we also ate at.

I LOVE my asada burritos. This was awesome. The meat was lean, well seasoned, and very flavorful. 5 types of salsa in the salsa bar. My son had the breakfast burrito. As always he had to customize it, and they complied happily.
I would eat here again!

Stuck in an expensive hotel in the Gaslamp district of San Diego, just wanted a snack to get us through the day. Went for a walk and came across El Cabron. It looked inviting and clean. The help was very friendly, ordered two Burrotos.......ever good and tasty. Didn't realize they were more than a snack (I couldn't finish it). Fresh and made while they made it.

This place had pretty glowing reviews and we wanted to get a quick small bite to eat.
It is very clean, and the staff are friendly. However, the food was a disappointment... We ordered chicken and beef tacos and a chicken burrito. For one thing, the dishes did not include pico de gallo as an accompaniment, and I am not sure if it is available as an option. There were no beans inside the burrito. The chicken on tacos and inside the burrito was a bit dry and flavorless. Basically, some pieces of meat sprinkled onto a tortilla with bits of lettuce. In the competitive market of similar foods, one would expect better quality. Overall, mediocre.
