My partner and I looked at many steak houses to eat at, this one came recommended by a local. My lamb dish was superb, couldn't fault it, my husband had the filet mignon he was very disappointed, the meat was very bland albeit tender and cooked to perfection. The black pepper sauce was cold but the manager kindly waved the... More

Holy Sh$&! This place is on point. I leave a lot of reviews and give a lot of 5 stars when deserved but this place needs 11! Bring your wallet but you get what you pay for. Excellent spirits selection as well as wine, although not the most extensive list, there should be something in a price range you'll enjoy.... More

Carefully chose Cowboy Star as it was our Anniversary when we were in San Diego and we were not disappointed. Got a great large comfy booth for our table and we liked the setting and atmosphere immediately. We started with really good Oysters done with Tamarind Oil and lime, followed by a fabulous T-Bone Steak and a really good Filet... More

Cowboy star was an amazing dining experience. The staff are great and even add a few laughs. Service is prompt but let's get to the food. Oysters... Amazing... Steak tartare ... Even more amazing... Dry aged Bone in ribeye... One of the best steaks I have had. Highly recommend !

I came here with a business associate for a working dinner. I was happy they had a local hard to find IPA (Alpine Duet) and a nice wine selection by the glass. I ordered the house Caesar and the beef filet with bearnaise sauce. The amuse-bouche was too simple and included a very small piece of tomato, carrot, and cheese.... More

Went to this place on a Saturday for dinner. To begin with we had to wait in the bas for our table,, which was fine with me as it gave me a chance to go through their extensive whiskey list, they have a great selection of ryes, bourbons, scotches, and whiskeys. Finished off their bottle of Tullamore Dew "Phoenix" just... More
