Ling's Cafe offers a large variety of food on its buffet. I enjoyed the potatoes along with mussels, noodles, cheese mushrooms and a variety of other dishes. The food was very hot and very delicious. There was also a nice variety of desserts to choose from. You can also choose Mongolian food. This was my first time to visit and I definitely plan to return the next time I am in Topeka.

My family ate here on a Friday in Lent. The buffet had everything we were craving and more. They had this fantastic dill seafood salad and cheese mushrooms! They have a lot of different seafood options, perfect for a Catholic family! Great service!

I love this food, even delivery! It's always hot and good and the sushi yummmmmmmmmm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Perfect! Best Chinese/Japanese place in town!!!!

It the dishes were hot this would be a very good buffet BUT I have never been here when everything is hot and most of the dishes have been setting out for quite some time. This can be good at times and awful at times. I have eaten here all hours hoping to find the "fresh and hot" time but have not hit it yet.

We normally dont do buffets...but, had to make a trop and were pressed for time...so tried a new place. There were plenty of entrees to choose from. I rated it not too bad...my wife rated it as very lacking in the flavor department. We were seated around a corner and had to track someone down to refresh our drinks. Typical Asian buffet.

Most of the buffet hot dishes were cold!

I like good Asian food, but was really disappointed in the quality of the food here. There is a good selection, however all the hot entrees I tried were cold. I tried the Mongolian grill, the vegetable and meat selections are limited. Too much oil was used in the preparation therefore it was pretty greasy, I have never had Mongolian grill with oil standing on my plate. Staff helpful and pleasant. Might be a really good place if paid a little more to food temps.

We stumbled on this place while traveling. I had Teriyaki Chicken and companion had Chicken Lo Mein. Both came with excellent fried rice. The food and service was very good. The restaurant was exceptionally clean.

TERRIBLE!!!!

We have some friends that love this place but they love Coyote Canyon and Golden Corral too if that tells you anything. This is a Chinese buffet and people really load up on food. Most of it seems to have frozen, canned or out of a box. Cannot say that anything was good. But, if you want to eat a ton of food, this is your place.

Clean and Bountiful!

I first visited Ling's for lunch when I was in a training class nearby. At first, I said that I didn't want to go - because I generally have not enjoyed 'buffet's'. But, I changed my mind -- and was so glad I did! There are five or six buffet 'tables', a Mongolian Grill and a sushi offering. I was glad to see that the restaurant is very well-lit, and the options were plentiful! The waiter got our drink orders filled, and they were waiting on our tables when we returned from the Buffet offerings. I went a second time yesterday, and again was impressed with the variety. I especially liked the baked fish, and the ribs. But really, everything was delicious. The waitress was again, on this visit, attentive and offered drink refills a couple of times, and removed our dirty plates promptly.

Great choices, surprising buffet

Always good!

I love the food! And it's clean unlike some Asian restaurants. Lots of choices. Hubby likes the hibachi grill. My favorites are the cheese crab, black pepper chicken, lo-mein and the crab rangoon. We go at least twice a month. Service friendly too.

Good service; mediocre buffet

Luncheon buffet had a large selection of items, but not some of our favorites. Service was good; buffet very ordinary with some items better than others. Stuffed mushrooms were very good as was dish with beef and peppers.

Worst China buffet ever... everything on the buffet was hard like it had been there for a while. The sushi on the sushi bar was very warm and the rice was hard as a rock. You could tell everything had been out for a very long time. Said something to the manager and all she could say was that it's very fresh and we refill after all food is gone... will not be returning!!! And I do not recommend this place!!!

Nice Buffet

You get a lot of options. Mongolian grill, Sushi, and a buffet. The Sushi is always good. Have never tried the Mongolian grill. The buffet is good but how good depends on the buffet options. All their dishes with shrimp are excellent but sometimes none of them are on the buffet. The stuff mushrooms and fan shell are wonderful but there are times neither is on the buffet. The green beans are excellent. The salad with cucumbers, garlic and Cilantro is unique and very good. The pudding is usually great, but sometimes it has a bit of a unpleasant flavor that we can't explain. The egg rolls, spring rolls are always good. The barbecue meats are very very nice. Soups good. Overall a great place to eat. However we do sometimes check the buffet before we sit and if a lot of our favorite dishes are not available to elect to go elsewhere. The owner/manager is very nice, works hard and tries to satisfy. Sometimes it appears they are low on wait staff as they do not check often enough for refills or clean away dirty dishes as often as we would like. But we have never not had staff provide refills or not get dirty dishes taken care of. Just sometimes they are slow. Would recommend.

Great Little Buffet

I was pleasantly surprised the first time we visited Ling's when they first opened. This place never disappoints. I would much rather eat here than the buffet on Wanamaker. Staff is always friendly. Good price. This is our go to for Chinese buffets.
