Man I hope this doesn't spoil it--buried in their rather typical Mex/American menu are two gems in Topeka Restaurantery: The seafood molcajete and borrego y más. The molcajete is a thick soup, and the seafood is chunky-crazy-good. They also have some items where you get a meal then for a couple of bucks a second entrée. ("Y Más" translates "and... More

If you don't like the flavored of good Mexican cooking you may want to come here. I have had Carne Asada in many places in the US and this has to be the most bland and tasteless I have ever eaten. Retried beans at least tasted like beans. Rice did not even have the flavor of rice. Salsa was water... More

My husband and I wanted to try a new restaurant on a date, so we chose Casa Ramos. Before visiting Casa Ramos, Margarita Jalisco was our favorite Mexican restaurant. But, now the two restaurants are tied for our first place spot. Both places offer awesome food and service! I like the intimate feel of Casa Ramos over the fast pace... More

I had a chance to check out Casa Ramos during a visit to my hometown. I left asking why I had taken so long to eat there. I was impressed by the restaurant's intimate feel - a pleasant change from its chain restaurant competitors. The food was excellent. I had the vegetarian macho burrito, big enough for dinner then lunch... More

We stop occasionally when we are on the West side. First went there with friends who have since moved from Topeka. In a word I guess they lack consistency. But okay.

We lived around the road from this place for almost 6 years before considering going there. From the road, it doesn't appear to stand out much, even though there is a big sign for the restaurant. Hubby ordered the Macho Burrito and let the server choose the meat. He had pork. I was curious what Mole tasted like and the... More

I got stranded in this town, when my truck broke down, & Casa Ramos was walking distance from my hotel room. I only did take out & the food was great for the price. I would definitely recommend this to a friend.

One of my favorite dishes when I go to a Mexican restaurant is carnitas but its hit or miss if they will be good. This restaurant had the best carnitas that I have tried. Great flavor and cooked just right. Looking forward to eating here again.

If you are local - or enjoy eating in your hotel room - let me tell you about the Fiesta Platter. For $37 you are going to get enough burritos, enchiladas, tacos, quesidillas, and taquitos for 10 people. Plus chips, salsa, guacamole, sour cream, cheese, pico and a taco salad. I'm sure there was something else around the platter but... More

Ate here mainly due to a couple of good reviews, and it's closeness to the Ramada Inn Topeka, KS West. Guacamole was good, and generous portion. Salsa was freshly made. Carne Asada was very good. Margarita was delicious and generous. Lynne's Mucho Grande (ground beef) was pretty ordinary and not flavorful. Overall good locally owned, reasonably priced, Mexican food. Order... More
