In an age of franchise sameness it is nice to see a local restaurant with some history sticking it out on one of the main commercial streets near the hospital. You could go to Arby's, Jimmy John's, McD, any number of others. But you won't...More

Tupelo’s home grown “fried chicken” place! If you’re looking for tasty fried chicken with all the fixin’s in Tupelo, Connie’s is the place!

Very good food most times but don’t use the drive through unless you’re prepared to wait for a half hour.

We were very disappointed after reading the reviews. We both had the 2 piece dark dinner with sides. The breading was mediocre and the chicken was only slightly moist. The mash potatoes required a lot of salt.

While staying with cousins, they said, "You've got to have Connie's for breakfast!" Admittedly I've never had fried chicken in a biscuit for breakfast. Well, I've sure been deprived of a great Southern tradition. And speaking of traditions in Tupelo....Connie's won't disappoint you!

My faimily has been going to Connie's for over 30 years. We regularly go on Saturday or Sunday mornings for chicken or tenderloin biscuits with good country cream gravy. I've brought relatives, business associates, people form other countries, etc and everyone always asks to go...More
