Excellent food

My husband and I were staying in the area to attend a brew fest and decided we needed a heavy lunch to absorb what we would be drinking a couple hours later. I ordered the fish and chips and my husband ordered the fried shrimp. Both were served with french fries and coleslaw. The place has a lot... read more

I shouldn't say anything about this place because then more people will discover it. I will just say that this place never disappoints. Wonderfully fresh, simply prepared, and sooo good. The lobster roll is a shining example of New England's best foods!

This place looks like a hole in the wall but the seafood is as New England as it gets. Tough to find parking and not on the T line so if you happen to be in the area stop in. Lobster Bisque is fantastic!

One of the best spots to get a lobster roll in the city and so good that I went back twice over my 4 day business trip to Boston. I highly recommend the warm lobster roll with a side salad and crab cake because they are all fresh and you may not be full with just the lobster roll. Prices... More

This is my favorite spot in Boston. The lobster roll is delicious and a good value. I also like the lobster pound style atmosphere. I've done lunch here like 5 times when I visit Boston and will come here just about every trip.

This place had the best clam chowder I had during my time in Boston, and the lobster roll was great - worth the walk in the freezing cold to get there.

Very good variety of typical NE fried seafood (haddock, cod, shrimp, clams and scallops). All was fresh. Oil is fresh. French fries - crispy! Portions could be a bit bigger for the price. Service is quick. Seating is very tight in this small space. Probably good take-out in warmer weather. They broiled food looked good, although we stayed with fried:... More

The lobster rolls were excellent (warm). They close at 6:00 PM on Sunday so our choices were limited however the staff were very kind and friendly and we were given tastes of the different soups. I highly recommend. Another plus there is ample free parking on the side of the establishment.

This place is a gem! If it's summer time in Boston, and you like Lobster, this place is an absolute MUST. It's been there for years, and it's frequented by the locals for a reason. Unbelievably good Lobster rolls!!!

Saw this place on TV's Diners, Drive ins and Dives and decided to check it out for lunch. I was not disappointed with the lobster roll and clam chowder. As good as I have had in Boston. Worth the time to experience a real seafood dive. It is Boston's answer to a South Louisiana crawfish joint.

Staying in Seaport District / South Boston Waterfront

Neighborhood Profile
Seaport District / South Boston Waterfront
This area has been expanding and becoming more and more popular, for good reason. Not surprisingly, the seaport district of South Boston is located beautifully along the water. The area is designed for easy strolling along the HarborWalk, and there are bars and restaurants for all ages and budgets. The Institute of Contemporary Art is located in this area in a contemporary building with an absolutely stunning deck overlooking the water. In the summer time there are Friday music concerts on the deck of the museum. Nearby, there are many green spaces to enjoy.
