We were looking for a nice restaurant for New Years Eve and noticed this place had many spots on Open Table. (That should have been a clue.) We ate at their old location and had a great meal. So we signed up. We had an...More

Went to Mare with a family group of 13 ages ranging from 5-76. The restaurant is in a little alleyway off the main street so it's easy to miss. The staff/servers were very nonchalant...not very friendly. The restaurant is very small with many tables in...More

Went here with a friend for a dinner and it was amazing. We started with the scallops which were cooked to perfection on top of bacon wrapped asparagus. For dinner I had the Seafood Risotto. I highly recommend this dish! The service was excellent!

First went to Mare about 5 years ago when it was in another building. This location is a bit more high energy but the food is just as good as ever. When in Boston, we just don't bother with other sea-food venues. This is our...More

This place was close to our hotel and our concierge was able to get us reservations on a busy night. Seems like they try to put their own twist on classic dishes. It would have been better if they just stuck to the classic. I...More

They had a large variety of oysters which we picked 3 from-would’ve love to try them all. The paella was delicious. The warm lobster roll was also good. Service was as expected for a busy night.

We were staying at Mare and decided to eat there after a long flight. Loved the food, oysters for starters and wild mushroom spaghetti for main. The food was great but the service was the highlight. We tried all the Bricco restaurants and this was...More

We went based on hotel recommendation. No reservation but got a table and were very happy with our all seafood choices. The seafood salad was fresh and tasty though not a salad, just marinated seafood, but wonderful. Only problem inside was it was noisy. Next...More

In short --- very good food though a limited menu if you don't eat shellfish; indifferent service; a bit noisy. Clearly a favorite of many locals. Just a half block off Hanover -- you need to know where you are going (tell taxi driver to...More

They had heaters and a cover looked like they could pull out but I would imagine fire pit is off. The restaurant is not very large so I imagine they still need this space.
