This my third time at Mare, a very busy restaurant in the north end of Boston. I wish I could say that I would return, but I will not. The food is mediocre, and the menu’ is misleading. Before sitting I asked if the linguine...More

Sat outside on a perfect night. Terrific, very fresh seafood. A plate of steamed clams came with an abundant amount of little neck clams, perfectly cooked in a delicious broth. An order of Wild Boar pappardelle came with fresh pasta, perfectly cooked, and a rich...More

My husband and I were in Boston for vacation. I found this restaurant on Trip Advisor, they did not fail me. Great atmosphere and wonderful food. I would recommend the Zuppa di Mare. A little hard to find, down an alley.

Really a great choice for dinner! We had 8 oysters for the appetizer and then the lobster Thermidor! Great choice! Could not finish it! So sad!

Found this gem here on Trip Advisor. We were in Boston for my daughter to run the Marathon and were looking for a place to eat seafood that was not a “corporate style” chain. We were very pleased! Party of 5. Started with drinks at...More

Place is very small and feels overly crowded when all the tables are filled. Lights are low, and its got a good buzz of noise from conversations. Small bar with seats - really no room to stand by the bar while waiting for your table....More

Went during Restaurant Week and it was fantastic. They have a small bar with oyster set up, but the real attraction is to chill out in the couches by the indoor fire pits. It makes the whole restaurant incredibly warm and inviting. The food was...More

They had heaters and a cover looked like they could pull out but I would imagine fire pit is off. The restaurant is not very large so I imagine they still need this space.
