Love the location, short walk to the prudential center. The vegetarian options that are available in the menu are excellent. I would highly recommend the staff at Mumbai spice.

Ordered: Kalmi Kabab Chilli Paneer (Dry) Saag Paneer Chicken Biryani Tandoori Naan and Roti Everything was tasty and flavorful, especially the Saag Paneer.
Nice spice flavors and variety. The bread was not as good as I would have hoped. The use of plastic containers for chutneys and such was odd considering we were dinning in. I was disappointed that the mango lassi wasn’t with fresh mango so I...passed on ordering that. Outside dining could have been better with heat lamps functions as it was a tad chilly.More
we had dinner here before symphony. all the food we ordered was very tasty and freshly cooked. servings were great. service a bit uneven, but everything did come out. take reservations which we like before a concert
Stopped by for a quick lunch 13 Feb 2020, only one other customer at the time. Greeter/server acknowledged me and gave me menu, all the time with the phone to her ear. She then disappeared and eventually returned, still with phone to ear. I didn’t...see “lunch special” on menu (as advertised on outside door, and I was in a hurry, so I went ahead and ordered a lamb curry and nan. After about 15 minutes a guy came from the kitchen and delivered a bowl of lamb curry and another with rice, and a basket with nan, and then he disappeared. The original server came back by, commented that I didn’t get a plate. By then I had already sorted it. For $23.44 I expected some degree of service, and the curry was...meh.More
I went there one evening and had Indian food. The staff was not very welcoming and even though i went at 9.30 pm they said they were closing and they cannot accept me even though their timing was till 10 pm The food was average...for an Indian guest but it was the nearest Indian restaurant to my Hotel so i had no choiceMore
The Mumbai Spice is a small restaurant near the Copley Place. Easily accessible from Sheratin, Marriott, Hilton etc. It has a variety of Indian food. Dinner opened at 5 pm. We had steamed rice dal taka and veg hakka noodles. The helpers are very nice...and patient and adjust food to your liking. We also had masala chai. It's good but they make and keep in a flask so it's not so hot. The cold coffee is a bit confusing. They make hot coffee and pour on ice. Its a black coffee . You have to tell them if you need milk. Overall nice place.More
Very bad customer service. Rude servers. The entire restaurant was empty and after they seated us they told us that they need to move us due to a reservation. Will not recover to anyone. They ruined our dinner.
Small place...BIG flavor. There were four of us for dinner...two vegetarians. They had plenty of selections to choose from. We ordered several appetizers and several entrees. Everything was prepared to order...the perfect blend of spice and savory. The kitchen went out of their way to...be accommodating, even preparing a side of puri, even though it was not on the menu.More
Very good food and wide variety of dishes. I was with a group of 5, and we tried several appetizers and main dishes, all of which I liked. The menu also seems to accurately label the spiciness; all the dishes labeled mild (which were the...only ones I tried) were truly mild while still being flavorful, which is not always true.More
The food itself is not bad; however, it’s not good to that point to wait forever. I was so close to leave, and then my food finally came. My order was just chicken biryani, chicken tikka marsala and two appetizers. Nothing too special for an...Indiana restaurant, but I waited for more than half an hour! It happened to me three years ago. I guess it was not an accident. They are just simply slow. And what more ridiculous was the waitress came twice to ask if I was still working on my food while she could absolutely see I WAS still eating!! What’s the rush for?? If you want customers to leave early to increase the turn over rate, then bring the food fast. Will not come back in another three years!More
The restaurant is quite close to Symphony Hall. Perhaps we're not used to Indo-Chinese food, but the meal was a great disappointment. Even dishes we've had elsewhere had different tastes that didn't please us.
We had a great meal at Mumbai Spice, good food, great service and unbeatable value for money. Will definitely visit every time we are in Boston.
Stopped in on a Tuesday, around 6 on the way home from an errand. The place was nearly empty and it took them forever to wait on me. I ordered vegetable biryani, medium spicy. It had heat, but no real taste. As I started to...eat it, there were burned bits of "stuff" in it. When I complained to the server she said they were spices and a part of Indian cooking. Someone had carelessly cooked the spices over high heat. Basically, it was just rice, a few vegetables, and burned spices. And the service was very slow. Once I realized that my dinner was inedible, I just wanted to pay and get out of there but had to ask for my check twice.More
I’m Indian and this is an embarrassment of a restaurant to brown people. The food is very bad and the service is so trash too. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. PSA to White People if you want the authentic Indian experience just...go to a different restaurant please.More
