Wonderful service from attentive and personable staff--the selection of cookies, breads, and cakes are only matched by the selection of Italian stuffed breads and the biscotti! Open 24 hours, 7 days a week!

Most people just rave about Mike's bakery in Boston, (and it is not bad). But skip all the the hype and WAY too many people all the time - and head to Bova's instead. Amazing canoli, perfect lobster tails, many many cookies and so much...More

Good bakery l think it's better than Mikes pastry's you have allot more of a variety and you don't have to wait in a long line for cannoli you can get anywhere.

Based on reviews of Boston natives, I planned a stop here for the family for dessert after dinner nearby. If you're looking for a legit cannoli, this is a must-stop. The regular, no-frills, cannoli is super creamy and outta this world. I would absolutely go...More

The cannoli cream was the best I have ever had. The cookies were also great! We tried a few of the bakeries in this area, and this is by far the best!

Bova's is the place where you go when you want the real neighborhood experience (instead of the tourist experience). They have the best macaroons to be had, excellent cannoli's, sfogliatelle, etc. The selection is too large to list them all. They are open late-night and...More

This place has delicious Italian treats without the wait of the places on Hanover Street. The chocolate covered strawberries are yummy!

Head to Bova's for a great selection of pastries on par with the best the North End has to offer without the lines of Mike's or Modern pastry.....try the peanut butter Oreo cookie bar (best dessert ever created).

North End
Wandering around Boston’s North End can feel like
being transported to Europe. Stroll down Hanover and
Salem streets for the finest Italian restaurants,
bakeries, cafes, and a few boutique shops. Take part
in the big debate as to whether Modern Pastry or
Mike’s serves a better cannoli. Before your food coma
sets in, make sure to stop by historic Paul Revere’s
home, and follow the Freedom Trail to Old North Church

Bova's is an institution and open 24/7. You will need to take your goodies elsewhere to eat. Try the Greenway when the weather is warmer.
