This was my second trip to Pavement ! I tired the Cold Brew this time around and was so good, so much flavor, I loved it! I split a Turkey BLT with my husband for a little snack which was also very good!

Every time I am in Boston, I enjoy breakfast here. Coffee and bagels are the best! Staff is very friendly as well. Californian and Tequila Sun Rise are my favorites.

I was in Boston for a short time and this was definitely the best coffee I had while here. Cool, underground coffee house and very quick as well.

They had some cool breakfast sandwich options, but I just went for a bagel and cream cheese. The bagel was really good, but do not expect a NY sized bagel. A little expensive, but an expensive bagel is still only a few bucks.

First visit to this basement location coffee spot. Excellent coffee, and their Sunrise breakfast sandwich, that I ordered on an everything bagel, is easily in my top 3 of breakfast sandwiches anywhere!

Pavement is a nice little coffee shop on Newbury close to the Mass Ave side. Coffee and drinks are great with baristas who are friendly and who know what they are doing. They have a couple seasonal specialty drinks that are very good including the "death cream" (cold brew, milk, half and half, vanilla). Place also has good breakfast sandwiches... More

First time here. Stopped by as I was next door (they share a common entry) at Pinkberry. Heard it was good and it is. Nice laid back coffee culture atmosphere. Good friendly service. Picked up a cappuccino... I like it served in a real cup rather than paper, so had it to stay... and sat out on the patio on... More

I was told that Pavement Coffehouse has some of the best bagels on Newbury and Back Bay, so I had to stop by and get some. Not only did I get some bagels, I actually got their breakfast sandwiches! I picked up the Awakening breakfast sandwich for my girlfriend and the Tequila Sunrise sandwich for myself, and we were not... More

This place has excellent coffee! It's absolutely adorable and has seating inside as well as outside. I liked it even more than Starbucks!

Perfect for your morning brew and a quite bite to start your day. A nice patio to enjoy your food/drinks outside. The baristas are very friendly and great at answering questions.

Neighborhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
