Located in a quieter part of Newbury St, Sofa Cafe is a great spot for a quiet coffee, breakfast or pastry. Friendly and small with an independent feel, the coffee's good and the almond croissants are outstanding. Will be back when I'm next in Boston!

I passed the little underground cafe while window shopping. It's 5 blocks from my hotel, but worth the morning walk. Super quality for your money. Great breakfast sandwich and smoothie, super coffee, very friendly staff. Cozy, but not outdoor table.

Cute, fresh, clean, simple, good coffee, inexpensive, quiet, neighborhood spot, croissant breakfast sandwiches, yum. A very simple menu but delicious, with a nice vibe.

I stopped in here with a few friends. Not bad, but not great either. The counter staff was very friendly. The plastic cups and straws felt cheap and the straw didn't fit well in the lid. Might sound picky but was an observation. My friend...More

I apreciate your feedback, we understand people like different things, altough your friend personally didnt like the chai latte this is really a matter of taste, we do offer stronger drinks, and many other different drinks to meet everyone's preferences.

Had the egg and cheese bagel -- it was fine. $2.50 for a can of pop is a bit steep. The medium latte was a good size. Washroom was gross and out of toilet paper. Staff cleaned out the garbages (mostly knocking everything onto the...More

Sofa Cafe is conveniently located between shops on Newbury Street. The shop is downstairs and has a cozy seating area. The drinks were good, but pastries were average - the raspberry bar could have used a lot more jam. If you need a pick-me-up while...More

Great food and friendly guys working in this place. The service was a bit haphazard in terms of when our food and drinks arrived at different times, but that's fine as the guy was doing more than his best on his own out front! Coffee...More

The super comfy canary yellow couch is a welcome sight as the coffee and faint scent of breakfast bacon teases us to order any of the three sandwich selections. Looks like lots of regular customers frequent here and often. The bacon, egg and cheese croissant...More
