This is easily the best Ruth's Chris I've been too. For one it has a gothic look and the layout is various mini rooms. But they also consistently deliver the best Black and Blue and also Medium Rare Steak you can get (my style). Service is great. You may have to wait a bit as they don't seat immediatley even... We have dined here many times and overall food, service , and quality was always very good. To exceptional. On nov 22nd we attended a mondavi wine tasting dinner. The wines were top notch, however the food was very disappointing. We started out with ahi tuna canapé. They were fresh and flavorful. The problem was the waiters walked around from... More

The food was decent for the price. The waiter was very nervous for some reason and spilled a glass of iced water on me. No big deal, the manager apologized, comped the drink, and offered to have my jacket cleaned. All in all, a very good experience.

We visited for dinner with 2 other couples on a Saturday night. The restaurant was busy but tables are divided into smaller rooms so the noise level is acceptable for conversation. The menu has a number of steak options, obviously, but not much else. A couple of seafood options but you better want meat. The menu is pricey but none... More

My wife and I have visited Ruth's Chris in Boston many times. On a prior visit, the wine list had many bottles on the menu that were literally penciled out. In a restaurant of this caliber, nothing should be penciled out. Regardless, we visited again in October of 2016 and were pleased to see that the menu had been updated... More

This Ruth's Chris is in the Old Town Hall in Boston. You can look right out the windows and see history all around, from a colonial graveyard to a statue of Ben Franklin. The steak was delicious and the sides were fantastic. The staff were helpful, courteous, and fun.

This is an upmarket restaurant in a historic building. The Old State House makes a wonderful setting. Good range of starters. I had the crab stack. Loads of fresh crab with mango avocado and cucumber. Very tasty. What makes this place do special is the steaks. We had a filet and a ribeye. They are served on sizzling plates and... More

I would recommend the Ruth's Classic menu for relatively good value. Located on the heart of the Freedom Trail in Boston's Old City Hall, favorite steak place in Boston.

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
