Classy restaurant with an elite vibe. Super flavorful dishes. A few seafood dishes to choose from, including a glazed sweet and spicy lobster tail or glazed shrimp. Lobster bisque and lobster mac & cheese is a must-try.

Had a lovely meal, got a last minute table in the bar but would've loved to have been in the main restaurant after seeing it. It looked lovely. The steak was nothing short of a small buffalo HUGE, and cooked really lovely. I loved the sweet potato crumble. The service was great and the main bar man (with beard) was... More

Can't beat the steaks at this restaurant. Always excellent. We were seated in the lower level in a room with 3 round and 1 larger table. It was VERY noisy and difficult to have a conversation. The bar service was very slow. I ordered a Tito's Martini and my friend ordered Amstel Light Beer. We both waited way too long.... More

Went to Ruth's Chris without reservation but was given place in the bar area. We had a very nice evening despite some waiting time to be seated and all had some very nice and well prepared steaks together with very nice wines. Comes highly recommended for both pleasure and business

My wife and I went to Ruth's Chris for New Years Eve and for our anniversary. The host greeted us with a Happy Anniversary and placed rose petals on our table. That was a nice way to start off our special dinner. Our server "Sam" was pleasant but gave me attitude when I made my wine selection and tried to... More

I think is safe to say that any Ruth's Chris has good food. The uniqueness about this location is the view (from the bar) to the King Chapel's cemetery and the history of the building. We went there twice for dinner and drinks and once for drinks. If you like RC , you would like this one too. Good food,... More

I went in here not quite knowing what to expect. Had a great meal, good wine (a bit overpriced) but the service was really haphazard. It was busy but not packed out. The squid starter was great but my wine I ordered turned up when I was nearly finished (after asking twice). My steak and lobster main course was excellent,... More

Ruth's Chris is amazing. We sat at the bar for a bit and had some drinks. Tony made us cucumber martinis that were fabulous. Dinner was delicious, the ambiance is wonderful. Our waitstaff was very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable.

We came here for Christmas Dinner. We had a reservation and were seated promptly on arrival. Surprisingly our servers name was Chris - Ruth's Chris at Christmas with Chris as our server, an omen. We were seated in a smaller vault room in the lower level with only six tables in the room. Made socializing easy. My wife had there... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
