Popped in to ask if we could enjoy a few drinks on their terrace as it was a lovely warm evening. After being ignored by the two guys at the entry podium, asked a waiter if we could sit outside - he was very polite and pleasant, referred us to his two colleagues. So reluctantly one guided us out to... More

OK, so part of this is my own fault. We were looking for a good American steak and completely misjudged that half of this restaurant is a bit up market (and the other half is a boring bar). Being true Brits we didn't walk out when we noticed, we toughened it out :-) We were seated in the bar area.... More

First time in Boston and late arrival... Ruth's Chris wasn't far from the hotel: last time in NYC we were much disappointed but week-end decided to go anyhow: the place is nice (inside the city hall building) and there is enough place to feel very comfortable. The 'usual' RCSH card ... But the meat was perfectly cooked ! A good... More

My wife and I walked in to possibly have a drink and an appetizer. We sat at the Bar the bartender was rude and unfriendly. There was a full dirty dish bin in full view of customers behind the bar, the bartender kept filling the bus bin over the top and throwing the plates in the bus bin making a... More

We arrived in Boston and after checking into our hotel, the kids said they were hungry. My wife looked at the lunch menu and said - let's eat here...of course she was right! Great prices for a burger, steak sandwich (not Philly style), 11 oz steak and a portobello salad..-delicious and we sat outside with nice ambiance. Our server was... More

I went at 4:30. I wanted a nice meal considering I was in Boston. I walked into the restaurant and the hostess didn't seat me, instead she pointed around the corner and said through there... that was kind of off putting... then I entered the dinning room after searching around, it was cold and uncomfortable....nobody waited on my for 10... Ruth Chris is the chain that is not a chain ... or at least does not resemble one. Every location including this one is a fine dining experience. The decor is beautiful and service superb. And oh the steaks. At worst it is a tad below the best ones served at the greatest American steakeries. At best it is better... More

We looked forward to our return to the Boston Ruth's happy hour. Convenient location, excellent choices for a light fare. We had the steak sandwich and hamburger sliders. More than ample, especially with the fries! The sliders were a better choice. Bar drinks are still at the peak pricing for Boston; not a happy hour expectation. Overall not disappointed.

I'm now trying to visit every Ruth's Chris location that I can when travelling. For this visit to the Boston location. My friends and I shared the small seafood tower - which had pieces of crab and lobster, great stuff. For my meal, I had a salad, a 12 ounce ribeye medium rare, and a side of creamed spinach. Everything... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
