Five of us went to dinner at Sorellina on a Tuesday night. What to know? The food is fantastic. I can highly recommend the halibut, but the people who took the branzino were also very happy. All the first courses were superb. Nice wine list, and the ginger Torta was a really, really good dessert. Our server (Mark) was superb... More

This is expensive, but if you are looking for an exceptional restaurant for a special occasion, Sorellina is a great choice. We started with (large) appetizer plates of two pasta dishes: spaghetti with prawns in a spicy tomato sauce and fettuccine with truffle butter and mushrooms. Both were exceptional. The rib eye steak and filet mignon were melt in your... More

Had the opportunity to dine at Sorellina during a weekend trip to Boston. Lovely setting for dinner and enough space between tables to enjoy your own conversation as opposed to others. Service was well timed and the wait staff both charming and gracious. The food and wine were of a very high standard and we left satisfied but not full.... More

Since Sorellina opened, I have been a big fan and dined there multiple times per year when visiting Boston with friends and my spouse. This year in 2016 I noticed a sad decline in the seating, food quality, service and value. When we dined in previous years, we were given our choice of whichever best tables were available--NO longer! You... More

Our first time dining here and it was just ok. The hostess was busy getting things together and too busy to greet us, but understandable since we got there about 5 minutes before the restaurant officially opened. Our dinners were ok and our waiter was nice. Maybe it was just an off night. I guess we just expected more- all... More

Easy to sit and enjoy the food and ambience, attentive staff who are always available to make suggestions and inform. Great location and easy to get to. The bar gets a little crowded and noisy but the bar staff takes good care.

A little tricky to find. Get directions first. Once found, this restaurant is a GEM! Impeccable service and amazing food makes this worth the hunt.

If you are over the age of 30 and want a nice bar to eat dinner at and chat with others....go somewhere else. This is not the place for you. I found the bar staff pretentious and snooty. Took them forever to acknowledge my presence and the bar was almost empty. After work crowd was non-existent. Won't ever be back...

Loved the food and the atmosphere. This is a place where you can't go wrong. Perfect for special occasons or for business dinners. Great service too. It's a bit pricey but well worth it!

Staying in Back Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
