I think our wait staff were a critical reason we loved it here. Also their extensive seafood menu was terrific--we sampled both hot and cold plates. Wine list is excellent. It is loud but our table, by the kitchen, actually wasn't too noisy. Worth the...More

I have been to Eastern Standard a few times over the last few years now, normally arriving late on a week night for a few drinks and a snack. I have always found the service is good, with one exception the food is great, and...More

This is a good bar to have a drink and sample their excellent cheese plate. If you are staying at Hotel Commonwealth you can bill things directly to your room. We also had their breakfast which was excellent.

I've been in here several times but usually the wait was too long for a table so we just took advantage of an expert mixology menu and went somewhere else to eat. This time, because it was really cold and rainy and we were staying...More

We visited our daughter over the Christmas holidays. She lives and works at this restaurant. Best meal ever.

The interior is lovely - like an upscale bordello - and the service spot-on, but the menu is boring, esp for vegetarians - and the food is not so great. They need to get the food up to the standard of the furnishings and service.

I went to Sunday Brunch at this restaurant recently and was very impressed. The food was delicious, and it was the best Brunch service experience I have ever had. Every time I used a sugar packet it was on the table for less than a...More

I would call the restaurant. One of our party asked for gluten/free bread and was told there wasn't any. However, the server brought a little dish of some kind of cold marinated veggies that she was happy with.
