I rarely send things back. My pork chop was over done, they tried again it was raw, the manager saw it as was horrified. My wife had the Orecchiette that still contained chicken bones so you ate around to bones. I am no.t sure you should have to eat around small bones in a dish. The waiter was sure our... More

Eastern Standard catered the Sir Paul Concert Package and unbeknownst to me they are a separate entity from Hotel Commonwealth. Thus my previous review faulted the hotel and not Eastern Standard. I was contacted (via Commonwealth) by Emmylou but when I asked to speak to her (as I did Natasha) she never responded - twice. Serving cold food, especially Eggs... More

Service a bit on the slow side but food is good and atmosphere is quite pleasant. Loved the oyster platter with 3 different kind of oysters.

A polished meal: tasty food, offered by helpful and unobtrusive service. We both had appetizers and main courses, and all four dishes were well done. Highly recommended for lunch in Kenmore Square.

We took our granddaughter(college) for lunch. Been here before and were not disappointed. Great meal, service and everything a good restaurant should have.

Our group of about 16 had a private dining room, so we were shielded from the noise of the main room. Our server was very nice and friendly. Those were the only positives. The server was working alone and took drink orders only after ~20 minutes, the drinks "trickled" in over the next 45 min, then it finally occurred to... More

Ate dinner here one evening. Good service, nice wine, lovely food. The staff were very informative about wines on the list and attentive without being intrusive. Nice décor and a good feel to the place; felt comfortable from the moment we entered. plenty of room between tables. Recommend this restaurant.

We stopped in before going to the Red Sox game. Yes it is very busy, crowed and loud, but that's to be expected before a game. The staff is friendly and they definitely need more bartenders on a game day - we didn't receive our drink until we were almost finished with our appetizer, but I will say the cocktails... More

The staff at this place was really great. They were very accomidating and they were very busy. I came with a party of 10 and we were seated pretty fast. The food was delicious. I had a steak and it was cooked just perfect. The place is very busy and it was a fun time eating there. I would go... More

Attentive staff, tried some local oysters, and had a delicious salad. Great atmosphere. Visited with 2 week old grand baby and they seated me promptly but didn't forget I was there. Would go back anytime!

Thank Joan H

Staying in Fenway / Kenmore

Neighborhood Profile
Fenway / Kenmore
The Curse of the Bambino may have ended years ago, but loyal Red Sox fans will continue to infiltrate this home to historic Fenway Park, where you can find victory banners, people yelling in stereotypical Boston accents, and lots of sports bars. Located within Kenmore Square, the old gas station Citgo sign is another Boston skyline classic seen throughout the city. In addition to a hectic and diehard sports mentality, this neighborhood is also home to some of Boston’s many universities. Move from Boston University territory to that of Northeastern, and spend time at the famous Museum of Fine Arts. For more culture, check out the smaller but equally beautiful Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. Continue off the beaten path and check out the green space in the Back Bay Fens, a pretty community garden. This diverse neighborhood has a mix of universities, sports, culture, and more residential green space.
