This restaurant is scheduled to close soon, and when that happens, it will be a big loss. Smith & Wollensky has another restaurant in Boston, and I suppose the food and service there are as superb as they are here, but it's not the Castle....More

Thank you for the 5 star review! We appreciate your patronage. The castle is certainly a sight and will be missed. We will pass along your kind words to Luis and Amy.

This place has announced that it will close soon, and while still open, it gives off a very strong "shutting down soon" vibe with empty walls and vacant vibes. Better to choose another place.

The salad was so good it would have been very good as my meal. Portions are huge here and evverything is ala carte. It is also very pricey so you won't want to take little children. It is in a very cool building that served...More

Situated in revamped old castle-like tower, aged bone-in rib steak best, so were starters of little neck clams & crab cake, all lumps of crab. Most satisfying was our waiter: we ordered medium rare of our steak which came out "medium"; when I tamely enquired,...More

A classic steak house in a wonderful, very unique setting. Varied menu; great, friendly service. Wonderful martinis (not always easy to make). Not one of the newbies, but something well established and substantial among all the cganges.

This is one of the best S&W regards the atmosphere. It is a castle, very cozy and romantic with fireplace. At 5-7 pm they serve local oysters for only 1$ (happy hour). A glass of whitewine ~ 16$. Oysters were fresh and tasty (though a...More

Description
Eat like royalty in Boston’s most famous castle. Indulge your senses and sense of history with the unique dining experience of our Boston steakhouse. Located in a historic stone and brick “castle” built in 1891, the structure originally served as the headquarters for the First Corps of Cadets and is listed on the National Historic Register. The first floor gunroom, social hall, and museum floor have been converted to the main dining room. The castle also boasts an impressive collection of private dining rooms, and the fourth floor Battle Room is one of Boston’s most coveted locations for large parties. Create a memorable evening by requesting our “behind the scenes” tour.
