I had multiple friends suggest this place to me, so expectations were set at an all time high. Definitely the best seafood I've ever had. As mentioned already, oysters, mussels, clams, prawns, crabs were amazing. Neptune Oyster is a must go to restaurant. Definitely gonna be back.

Ate here recently on a cold Wednesday night but managed to avoid the long line as one of our eating companions suffered for 30 mins on our behalf. Unfortunately we were seated near the door which meant that an artic blast was endured about every 10 mins. As noted by others, the restaurant is small & crowded. Again being near... More

We've been there with 3 friends from different a cities. We all love this place. Yes, you can't reserve a table and have to stay in line, but selection of oysters, bisque, lobsters and wine will exceed your expectations

With over 2,000 reviews on Yelp and no reservations, I was hesitant if/when we had the chance to eat here. Thankfully, their waiting process didn't involve physically being present, but rather a host would take down your name and number to call you back when your spot is open. That being said, we optimistically saw no line for Neptune's after... More

There is always a wait here I guess, the wait was quoted at 2 hours, but I think we only waited about 90 minutes. We ended up waiting at a bar across the street. The restaurant is small, I think I counted 40 seats. According to a co-worker that is local, I guess it is debatably one of the best... More

Loved the lobster roll. Service was good. Had a nice bottle of wine too. You have to go early to get a table as it's not very big. Sundays are probably busy but I got there at 11.30am and got the last table. After that there was a queue.

I was visiting Boston for a comedy show with my fiancé over the weekend and was told that Neptune was a MUST-DO. Thankfully, all the expectations were met! The small spot was very quant and the food was to die for! There is a bit of a wait but like I said it was worth it! The staff was very... More

Overall, a great hole-in-the wall in the North End which I would return to. The pluses: interesting dishes like the uni butter ciabatta, caviar-tuna-lumberjack (forgot the exact name! But an flavorful combination of salty caviar/fish with cornmeal pancake/honey butter), and very fresh seafood (delicious lobster in the lobster roll). The less-good: the crab bisque could have had a higher intensity... More

Such a great little spot in the North End. The best Oysters you can get with an amazing selection. I know it can be a wait because it is tiny but so worth it. Go have a drink up the street and they will call you. My husband is allergic to fin fish and there is always something on the... More

Second visit in last two years and it's amazing. It's small and we were 18 on line before they opened. The oysters are spectacular as is the lobster roll. Put it on your list and you won't be sorry!

Wandering around Boston’s North End can feel like being transported to Europe. Stroll down Hanover and Salem streets for the finest Italian restaurants, bakeries, cafes, and a few boutique shops.
