Ok, Jenny, (or Kusshi, her fish/oyster name) was great. Not only did she run the front door, but she was our server as well. And, she is great at both! One of our party, made her way here early to ensure we were on the list...she also had the recommendation from locals that we needed to have dinner here. It... More

Yum yum yum! Casual, authentic north end Boston seafood restaurant. It's small and always full, but they will take your cell number and you can walk around the neighborhood while you wait for a table.

This place is worth the wait. We tried to get in on Saturday evening but the wait was 3 hours. We came back on Sunday afternoon and the wait was 1 hour. We put our names in and they take your phone number to call you when your table is ready. We went across the street to the bar and... More

We and here in the suggestion of a friend. She said to beware the long lines at dinner so we went at lunch (around 1:30/2:00). We did wait, but maybe only 20-25min and it was so worth it. We both got the hot buttered lobster roll with fries. We are not a fan of cold seafood with mayo do this... More

It is a very small place so you can count on waiting but the service is fast and great - the food, too. We got there at 11:10am and didn't make it in for the first seating which is at 11:30. The fact that they take your cell phone number and call when your table is ready makes it very... More

Neptune Oyster was on our "must dine" list from the beginning based on word of mouth and online reviews, but we knew that accommodating a group of seven would be problematic based on the limited seating and popularity of this north end bistro. Our plan of attack was to send one of our group to get our large party on... More

We got there about 12:30pm and it was a twenty minute wait two of us. We got a seat at the raw bar which was perfect as we came for the oysters. They had about a dozen kinds of east coast oysters and a half dozen west coast that time of day. We enjoyed dozen and a half of mixed... More

Period. They also have a decent oyster selection! The place is very small, a bar on one side and shared booth style seats on the other. Make a reservation or call ahead. I may return to this city just for the Neptune Lobster roll. When I visit Boston again I am not leaving without getting one.

This is a great place. It's really small inside so yes there is a long wait. They will call you though. We saw half of the Freedom Trail before they did. But, that was fine. The food was worth the wait. The lobster roll was excellent and the lobster with squid was amazing. 5 stars!

You need to arrive there 2-3 or 4 hours earlier than you plan to eat as this is how long it takes to get a table. There is even a line to put your name on the list. They can call at any minute so be prepared to stop whatever you are doing and head there right away. But once... More

Staying in North End

Neighborhood Profile
North End
Wandering around Boston’s North End can feel like being transported to Europe. Stroll down Hanover and Salem streets for the finest Italian restaurants, bakeries, cafes, and a few boutique shops. Take part in the big debate as to whether Modern Pastry or Mike’s serves a better cannoli. Before your food coma sets in, make sure to stop by historic Paul Revere’s home, and follow the Freedom Trail to Old North Church and Copp’s Hill Burying Ground. Take a rest in a cafe on Hanover street and observe the quirky, European character of the North End.
