Second time here. We sat at the bar and ordered the Monday night special which is a lobster pasta dish ( amazing), lobster roll, and raw bar. The food is great and has depth. Amazing flavor. The restaurant is small and the spot is always crowded so be prepared. There is always a wait. I love this place

My best friend and I had lunch recently at Neptune Oyster . It's a birthday thing! We always start off with 1 dozen oysters followed by their fabulous lobster roll. It's always crowded so be prepared to wait up to an hour but it's worth it. Service is great with friendly staff. If you want great seafood go to Neptune.

Went to Neptune Oyster as recommended by a friend. Arrived at 6:30pm and put in our name and phone number immediately. They said it will be an hour or so but they would call when our time came up. Spent the next hour walking the wonderful streets of the North End and learning its history. We got the call and... More

Went because of reviews. Put names on waiting list for an hour wait ... which we were willing to do because of the other reviews. Restaurant never called so we defaulted to another location down the street which will be the subject of a very positive review. They simply didn't care. Lousy treatment is the bottom line.

We really wanted to try this place our first night in Boston. Arrived at 8pm on a Monday night, yes a Monday, and they were taking no more names for the evening. No reservations-first come first served. The next day, as we were walking the Freedom Trail, we decided to venture off the trail a few blocks and try Neptune... More

We lucked out and only had to wait 30 mins. They take your name and cell phone number, and will call you. The whole belly clams were excellent, crisp and tasty. Too many times, I had been disappointed, with old off tasting clams. But these were fresh and full of flavor. The coppino was also great, worth the upgrade with... More

I walked in at about 12:45 pm and it took a while to get aknowledged from any of the wait staff. Finally someone came over and since I was alone I was seated right way. You're immediately struck by how small it is. One bar on one side and one row of tables on the other, that's it. I tried... More

Stopped by on a Sunday afternoon and waited an hour to sit at the bar. The food is absolutely delicious; we had oysters and I had a lobster roll while my husband had a seafood stew that looked amazing (should have taken a pic!) The down side is that the space is so small and crowded that it's difficult to... More

Never ate there, We were there at 5:15 pm, told a 3 and a half hour wait, and then went back two and a half hours later, and were told it would still be two hours more. Went to another restaurant. They finally called us back at 8:45 to say our seat was ready, When I told caller no restaurant... More

Nice place, delicious food! The lobster roll (superb!) and the clam chowder were marvellous! My family tried other less common plates and all were first class! They do not accept reservations, so you have to go to appoint for your lunch, but it is worth!. We had to wait, walking the neighbourhood for more than hour and a have.... and... More

Staying in North End

Neighborhood Profile
North End
Wandering around Boston’s North End can feel like being transported to Europe. Stroll down Hanover and Salem streets for the finest Italian restaurants, bakeries, cafes, and a few boutique shops. Take part in the big debate as to whether Modern Pastry or Mike’s serves a better cannoli. Before your food coma sets in, make sure to stop by historic Paul Revere’s home, and follow the Freedom Trail to Old North Church and Copp’s Hill Burying Ground. Take a rest in a cafe on Hanover street and observe the quirky, European character of the North End.
