Great place for Brits abroad to watch Premier League

I had great fun in this bar on holiday in August, so good I went twice in one day! I spent the afternoon watching Manchester United (it was an 8pm KO here) at the bar enjoying a few cold beers and some bar snacks including chicken wings which were tasty and good value for money. The bar staff were... read more

My friend and I went there to grab a bite after walking the neighborhood on a gorgeous, warmer than usual winter, Sunday. Never experienced this bad service anywhere EVER. Our waitress appeared high high high as a kite. It took asking her at least 4 times and 20 minutes to get a drink. She brought one drink and forgot the... More

McGreevy's is located a few blocks away from the Red Sox's home, Fenway Park. Upon entry into the establishment it's obvious that McGreevy's is the Red Sox fan's other other home. The pretzels are home made, the beer is served cold and sometimes the staff are attentive. Try to avoid sitting next to the door to the kitchen... I know... More

We enjoyed our lunch, cheap and cheerful, decent fish & chips for me. However we were disappointed by the poor selection of beers they have. They have awful things such as Bud Light or Stella Artois on tap, no good america IPA. On bottles it's the same thing : Bud, Corona, Heineken, Cider... The best thing they have is Anchor... More

Our favorite destination before or after Red Sox games. Staff is always polite and speedy. Tap selection good, food menu better. Never have had a bad meal! Can't wait to visit again!

The bar was really busy with the Bruins playing on a Thursday night. I was looking for the thursday night nfl game and it was on a tv in the back. Not a huge deal overall as I enjoy hockey as much as football. I would have gave them a 5 but it took 10 minutes or so sitting at... More

had the mussels as an appetizer, they were delicious with the sausage! Cheeseburger was cooked perfectly and the fries were great - though it was a typical pub order it was awesome! Beer & food very reasonably priced - we were there early but i am certain they get a great crowd! Or waitress Marin as wonderful!

Went here due to the reviews. Good choice of beers and plenty of screens. Surprisingly allowed young children into the bar in the evening which changes the atmosphere. Food ordered was fine if not exceptional and service to tables was a bit of a struggle. This place is fine and we would go there again without being particularly special.

Staying in Back Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
