We were doing a self-guided tour of the Freedom Trail and happened on this spot around lunch time. We stopped in and had a nice pub meal. The service was friendly and the food was good. Learning about the history of the place added to...More

We had been on the Sam Adams factory tour that morning and had been recommended by other tourers to visit this tavern amongst others on Union St. and sample Sam Adams Red Brick which is only available in Boston. When we arrived the seating hostess...More

The history geek in me won out, and I went to this historic tavern. I was not disappointed, it was not some dull, tourist bar, but a lively, neighborhood bar, with great live music, and good drinks. The atmosphere was rather dark, and it was...More

I enjoy getting a drink at the Green Dragon- in fact, I met my wife there in 1993. We went for lunch to commemorate the day we met there recently. The food was just ok. The drinks, on the other hand, are very good. My...More

A historical hot spot and the oldest bar in the US. Apparently Samuel Adams started planning with other Patriots at this bar! The band was great the evening we stopped in for a drink. The drinks were good but the bartender had no personality and...More

Honestly, though. It's a nice that Boston embraces their revolutionary history. Not a bad spot to wait out a little rain shower on a fall day.

The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with
historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through
one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston
Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling
statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the
pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where,
during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting
children and eager tourists through the pond. Have

No, their staff dresses normally but there are costumed people that lead tours of the Freedom Trail - both men and women. Not sure where they originate from. There is a wonderful information booth in the Faneuil Hall.
