This diner is well-located, an inexpensive haven amidst all the expensive options in downtown Boston. The omelettes are decent and there's unlimited coffee, and our waitress was friendly and gave us tips on what to order. It's a small restaurant, so if you're a large party, either go somewhere else or come during a non-busy time.

Took a walk from our hotel to this diner and what a classic diner it was. Went for breakfast. It seemed like the food came to the table before we finished ordering. The waitress was very pleasant, the food good and a lot of locals in the small diner, including a policeman so we figured it must be the right... More

All around great place. I had a spinach, bacon and cheese omelette. My girlfriend had the Boston creme pancakes. They were amazing. Fast service, friendly staff. Good prices. Highly recommend.

Saw this place mentioned online as a 24 hour diner & stopped by at 6.30am as we were transferring out of Boston.....think of your classic 1950's diner with a guy in his white jacket flipping eggs, a young waitress buzzing around & you're at the south street diner....we had both a great breakfast & a great experience as we had... Lovely diner with very friendly staff. We went for breakfast one day (lobster roll and fry up) and weren't disappointed at all. Good sized portions, plenty of coffee and good prices.

So, I missed the last train home... shocker and as opposed to wandering around aimlessly I found this place. There was a huge line and they were actually taking names to get in. I guess at that hour of night you can. The staff was really nice and the food was good. I actually took the rest home with me... More

I went to the dinner for breakfast. It is a real old fashioned place in an authentic structure. The coffee and great and the services attentive from first entering. The eggs for my party were exactly as requested. Each items was a reasonable portion. It is a 5 minute walk from South Station. The prices are very reasonable. It is... More

Really nice, a place to recommend! I had the hot dogs, my two friends had the pancakes and the third had the burger. Everyone was very full and was enjoying their food. So good!

We were looking for an American breakfast experience and we definitely found it here. The service was great and very friendly and the food tasted delicious. It's not a large diner so either avoid busy times or be prepared to wait for a seat. Would definitely eat here again if I was in Boston.

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
