We stopped for lunch while covering the freedom trail. The building itself is really cool and the inside is beautiful. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I ordered the fish and chips, but wasn't impressed. My husband ordered the baked haddock and really liked...More

Great place to stop in while enjoying the Freedom Trail and get a drink and a bite to eat. Food was upperclass/upper level pub style food.

We had the Seafood Casserole and Baked Haddock entrees. Both were excellent. The bartender was informative and very personable. Great experience!

Warren Tavern is truly unique. Not a large place, so visit early if you have a large group. Lobster roll - not as good as I had hoped. Clam Chowder on the other hand possibly the best I've ever had - I should have ordered...More

Stopped in on a few occasions after reading all the reviews on TA during our recent trip to Boston. The place does not look to impressive or historical from the outside, but that sure changes once you enter. The tavern stays busy with both locals...More

After admiring the outside of the tavern, I was slightly disappointed that the inside didn't have more antiques. All was forgiven when we tasted dinner. There was nothing typical about this typical tavern fair. I had the fish and chips and my husband had the...More

Stopped in because of the history, wanted to see where the "Founding Fathers" met for a bit of respite and planning. The restaurant is quaint, we stopped by as they were opening for the day. The interesting piece of historical memorabilia is the piece of...More

Super fast and friendly service. Reuben was good, if a little messy. And they have a shandy on tap!!! Went at 5 PM, so bar was 1/2 full. Tables were mostly empty.

Charlestown’s hilly roads, narrow streets and gaslight
lamps, make it an enticing neighborhood to visit.
Follow the Freedom Trail over the Washington St bridge
from the North End or take the scenic water locks to
Paul Revere Park. Walk through City Square and stroll
down cute Main street, wandering up the windy
residential streets to Monument Square, where you can
learn about the city’s history along with a great view

WARREN TAVERN is family-friendly and because Paul Revere used to frequent this tavern it is a good reason to tell the story of Paul Revere and his famous ride to tell the people of Boston that the British were coming. Then... More
