This historic restaurant should be experienced! we were there with a party of 15, the service was great and the food delicious. The lobster Mac and cheese, fried clams, baked haddock oysters were all great choices. If you are in the area head for the...More

If you want to see the interior of the building for its history, I would recommend that you do not visit on a Friday or Saturday night, as the place is packed with locals. The food is solid pub fare. Lively bar scene. Lots of...More

Neat place to eat. Great history in that building. Food is bar fare, and pretty good at that but certainly not the reason to visit. Very close to Bunker Hill Memorial, but it is a walk up a pretty steep hill. Visit for the history,...More

If the Warren Tavern was good enough for Paul Revere and George Washington, its good enough for me. Warm atmosphere, friendly staff and prompt service. The chowder had great flavor, but perhaps too thick. The falafel burger had good spice, but as is the nature...More

To sum it up: Awesome locals pub in Charlestown that's rich in history and serves up amazing clam chowder. This is easily one of my favorite places in Boston to grab a drink and a quick bite. Half pub, half restaurant, you can either have...More

Possibly the oldest pub in the United states, the building was built before 1780 and is steeped in history (maybe even a "George Washington Ate Here" kind of history). The staff here was very friendly, very Boston, and served great beer, excellent lobster bisque, and a...More

Drove here after spending the night in Boston and happy I did. This place is amazing for any kind of history buff, it's pretty cool to eat or have a beer where George Washington and Paul Revere did. The menu is a little on the...More

Uh... what can I say... food was good... chowder was great... but the fact our founding fathers walked within these walls is worth the time you spend there.

Charlestown’s hilly roads, narrow streets and gaslight
lamps, make it an enticing neighborhood to visit.
Follow the Freedom Trail over the Washington St bridge
from the North End or take the scenic water locks to
Paul Revere Park. Walk through City Square and stroll
down cute Main street, wandering up the windy
residential streets to Monument Square, where you can
learn about the city’s history along with a great view
