On entering we were told that the restaurant was fully booked later fir a private affair, but that we could eat inside or in the garden, from a reduced menu. Everything was delicious and fresh.

This is a local tavern that does a lot of local bar business. The service was OK and the food was OK but nothing special. There are better options in the shopoping center nearby.

This restaurant was recommended by The Courtyard Marriott down the street. At first it appeared to be a quaint intimate place with some ambiance. It wasn't. We were able to wait at the bar until 5 when the dinning part opened The drinks are expensive, even for Boston standards. They have a very limited menu some unusual choices, I was... More

Great food in a rustic 50's neighborhood setting. The steak was lean yet juicy crowned in a bed of arugula and fries. The salmon grilled to a crisp on one side while soft on the other, coupled with sautéed quinoa and greens and and Potuguese Stew went well with the house recommended California Cab. The Banana Bread pudding capped the... More

224 Boston offers a warm, comfortable setting for a dependable meal. You will feel similar to a meal at your favorite aunt's house with well prepared meal choices and reasonable priced wines. I wish they offered beer on tap however, but this is a minor inconvenience.

Great night. We went there last night and made good use of the Restaurant Week to try the place. It is a nicely lit place to match the décor, and the music was nice too. I had a bowl of clam chowder, creamy, hot, with hints of salt pork. Excellent! My mahi mahi was perfectly grilled over asparagus and a... More

First I will disclose that I sublet the apt above the restaurant last winter Located at the area Adj to S Boston and the S End this relatively small homey restaurant has been here for decades ( as the menu will testify to those who visited 10 yrs ago the bar area as you enter greets you with with lively... We just moved to the area so we went for Friday night dinner and we'd heard great things. Short rib arancini was bland although texture was nice. Flatbread was inedible--they used whole slices of tomato and the bread was so soggy. Fontina was heavily used and tasted like nothing. My boyfriend's chicken dish was pink and tasted like nothing. He... More

Stopped in for dinner. Didn't know I needed to be patient. Waitress said they all work together. Wasn't able to find out what they worked at. Ended up skipping the beer and never got to order the meal. Good luck with that place
