We visited Saturday, January 14, in the early afternoon. We thought we were lucky because it was quiet for a Saturday for this busy place (we've been here before). We were given the option of sitting upstairs where it was even quieter, and we were seated with a nice view. It was explained to us that the restaurant upstairs features... More

A good choice on the harbor that has good food and great view of harbor and Columbus park. Near Quincy Market. Onion soup is good, as are nachos for starters. Good steak and burgers. Prices are comparable to other similar restaurants in area. Good service.

The place was overcrowded. We booked 6 hours in advance, confirmed booking. But when arrived 6 couples were waiting before us and not sorted yet. We left after 15 min. When informed the hostess we are living she even didn't say "thanks" or "sorry" just asked our names and Okeyd us.

We visited this bar restaurant twice during our visit for lunch and dinner and the place was buzzing and lively. The service was very attentive without being over the top. The food options were good, the salads are nice and plentiful and the sandwiches are filling and nice. The sweet potato fries are a good option. Definitely try the deserts... More

Joe's was the first place I stopped in Boston. I wanted a burger and got a delicious, juicy one. The only issue I had was when I walked in, there was no one in the restaurant and they did not have a hostess or server available. I had to choose my own seat and wait quite awhile to get service.... Joe's is magical, with most of its seating underground. The service is great and the food is perfection. The nachos are beautiful and the southern fried chicken sand which is delicious. I love the Back Bay Area of Boston and next time I'm in the city I will make sure to visit! The best burger joint around. Only thing that... More

The view is fantastic. We only ordered a few starters but the food and service was great. We would definitely be back.

We only intended to have a quick drink while the sun set. Really nice location and we had a sharing plate of nachos. Very tasty with nice guacamole.

The first night we were here, we weren't quite ready to head back to our hotel (Holiday Inn behind the restaurant) so stopped in for a night cap. We had the lemongrass martini - fabulous. Highly recommend that one. No food for this time, just a couple of drinks, conversation and TV. We sat at the bar. Before we headed... More

Breakfast, Bruch, Lunch or Dinner, choose your time and take your pick and i don't think you could be disappointed at this Diner located on a corner of Atlantic Avenue. We were here for Brunch on a busy Saturday morning and we had made a reservation beforehand which paid off because people were being turned away at the door or... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
