Boston Brewin is a tiny shop, near Park Street station. The staff is really friendly and enthusiastic about coffee. What they lack in size, they make up for in quality and value. The owner's goal is to deliver a superior coffee, from organic, fair-trade, ethically sourced beans, without charging more than the big chains.

Arrived in Boston on a Saturday & on our first wander found them around the corner from our hotel. They're closed on the weekends, but we could tell by looking in the window that it was a coffee joint that made real coffee for folks who want an authentic cuppa joe! Well worth the wait... bought coffee from them every... More

Just off Tremont tucked down near the Commons is a real find for coffee lovers worth searching out. Tiny place (no seating is only reason not 5 stars). Lots of delicious organic coffee in this small package. Best customer service I've had in Boston over 25 years of travel there. By my 2nd trip in, owner called me by name... More

If you're a coffee lover, definitely pay Boston Brewin a visit when you're in Boston! This place made me fall in love with coffee. Their coffee is delicious (and organic) - I am partial to the iced coffee with a shot of vanilla flavor but everything I've tried is great. The pastries are so yummy and if they have sandwiches... I looked this up as its close to my hotel, and the coffee is top notch, the staff is uber friendly, and they work as not-for-profit to support charities to make the world a better place. Rock on!

We tried go here this past weekend and it was closed Saturday and Sunday. When I looked at the website I couldn't find anything about the hours. I was disappointed because it seemed like it would have been really good!

You won't be able to sit down here, this is pretty much a walk-up window, but the coffee is great, and was the friendliest service I've had in Boston!

Boston Brewin Coffee Co.’s goal is to prosper on a unique, branded value proposition we call “PAY IT 4WARD.” The model’s name derives from the concept of supporting all arms of the coffee business - buying 100% fairly traded beans from the world's very first completely organic coffee roaster who uses profits to build and maintain libraries in Guatemala, socially driven wholesale vendors - such as Haley House Bakery Cafe, and the paying of living wages with health insurance. Even more powerful to the brand is the creation of an independent social enterprise model and the commitment to Pay It 4ward and sharing ownership between individuals and a vital non-profit in the city of Boston.

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
