I was looking for a chill place with pub grub in downtown Boston near South Station. This place did not disappoint. A small corner bar, a little dim (like a proper pub), excessively friendly, good selection of local beers, and the Pub Dip sandwich was excellent. `70s and `80s R&B, Rock, & Pop on the sound system (if you are... I just paid $12.50 for a beer here per the bartender's "recommendation." Nothing special about the beer or the place. This place is a rip-off. Stay away.

Close to our Air BnB. We had lunch which was very well priced, large servings and of great quality. Many interesting memorabilia items on the wall. Enjoyed our meal so much we went back for a take away dinner during our stay which was equally as good. The egg rolls are really good.

The corner pub is a good and friendly place to go for lunch. Burgers and sandwiches are served with French fries, or onion rings, or sweet potato fries. Portions are large. Delicious, but not Weight Watcher friendly. Worth a try.

It's a good option in a crowded offering of pubs and bars. Great prices, hard to beat. Great selection of craft brews and a full bar. The burgers are outstanding - top notch

I enjoyed the grilled chicken sandwich, with fries in a good atmosphere. Good service and generally friendly. They offer to go service and keno for fun as well as tv. Prices are reasonable and there is a selection.

Popped in as had seen some good reviews on other sites. Good choice of beers plus other specials Food wise we ordered Buffalo wings, nachos and a couple of egg rolls. Chicken one was nice but the steak one was delicious. Nice friendly staff, nothing at all up market so if you are ok walking into a busy bar of... More

This no-frills bar is a good spot to split a bucket of beers with coworkers, or to cap off an evening downtown. What you see is what you get, but you won't be disappointed.

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
