I was working in Boston this past weekend, and we decided to walk over to the the North End for dinner. The main street was packed for three blocks, with ridiculously long lines waiting to get in to restaurants. As a well traveled New Yorker, I know from experience that the best restaurants are tucked into the side streets. We... More

The night prior to the Boston Marathon in 2015 my family stumbled upon this place while looking for any place with less than an hour wait. The owner greeted us and was able to get us in within 15 minutes. The place is small but very comfortable. My family and I all loved our dishes. I ordered the gnocchi and... More

Love the wait staff! The food was delicious! I had the chicken Marsala and my friend had angle hair pasta: both were great! We also had a carafe of sangria. We sat by the window and people watched.

My wife and I were amazed about the lasagna and the lobster ravioli and the calamari appetizer!!! Just so much flavor that if we didn't have to leave Boston to go home to Austin TX we would be there I am sure every week!!! Great service. Definitely suggest!!!

Food was very good, but portions were small for the price (especially the appetizers). Waiter was very friendly and apologized when he took a long time bringing our drinks. Overall I liked the restaurant and thought the food was excellent.

The service and food was very good but for the money the BRIDGETTE appetizer was not to the standard portion size! 4 bite size pieces that literally measured 1 1/2 inches square for $11.95 :-(

We were walking around on a hot Sunday afternoon, looking for a place we had yet to try in the North End. Stumbled into Pellino's and had a very nice late lunch. Great antipasto di casa, gnocchi and angel hair pasta w/meatballs. Nice glass of red wine. Moderate price range for a North End restaurant (that's not just slices of... More

The food was OK but the price was a little bit high for what you're actually getting. If you think about having any wine you're definitely going to get hit in the pocketbook. Our waiter did an OK job but we had asked him twice to bring a second plate of bread. They automatically tack on gratuities for parties of... More

The food was good enough and our server was pleasant. The 3 of us has spaghetti with meat balls, lasagna, and a breaded veal. The meal without tips was over 80 dollars. The place is small. So on this particular crowded day, they were very concerned about squeezing customers in, and getting them served and on their way. We pulled... More

We took the kids into Pellino's because they love homemade Lasagna. Additionally, my wife ordered Saltimbocca and I had Chicken Parmesan. The homemade lasagna and Saltimbocca were excellent. The chicken parmesan was fine but not as good as the others. I had a glass of "Super Tuscan" wine which was ok but not as full bodied as I'd hoped. My... More

North End
Wandering around Boston’s North End can feel like being transported to Europe. Stroll down Hanover and Salem streets for the finest Italian restaurants, bakeries, cafes, and a few boutique shops. Take part in the big debate as to whether Modern Pastry or Mike’s serves a better cannoli. Before your food coma sets in, make sure to stop by historic Paul Revere’s home, and follow the Freedom Trail to Old North Church and Copp’s Hill Burying Ground. Take a rest in a cafe on Hanover street and observe the quirky, European character of the North End.
