Our waiter was missing in action for most of our visit: food took a long time to arrive and only was delivered in pieces, no refills on drinks, and one person never got a drink. The other tables in our section were angry and "sorry" seemed to be a well rehearsed answer from the waiter when he was around. Food... More

We had a couple of drinks here before a game. The beers were delicious. The place was packed.I appreciate that they had a line at the bar so people could get served in some kind of order. It was wall-to-wall people before the game.

We used to frequent this establishment very often before Sox games, but then the quality went downhill. We decided to give it another try and we were pleasantly surprised. The beer was good, the food tasty and the service was not bad.

We had drinks and ate here before touring Fenway Park and I must say that this was the best beer I've had in a very long time. The bartender let us sample any beer we wanted, and I liked them all! The Contender IPA was great and the Blueberry Ale is a must try and I actually really like the... More

We went for lunch while near Fenway Park. The food was delicious, but the waitress acted annoyed to be waiting on us. About half the beers choices were all out, but it wasn't clear which ones. The ones they did have we're good! All in all its a decent place- we might have just had bad luck of the draw... More

Located across the street of Fenway Park. Don't be fooled with the name Beer Works as it's not only a sports bar but also a restaurant. This is a great place to stop by with friends or family to enjoy a great variety of drinks, appetizers, and entrée which are very good. The honey hot wings and ranch dip, margarita... More

The burgers are good, as is the beer. The kid's portions are good-sized and the dishes are tasty. The only strange part was that the music kept switching two minutes into each song. Since it was relatively empty and quiet, it was noticeable and annoying.

We were at Fenway Park for a tour, and stopped for a light bite. We each chose a bowl of "chowda"and I had a glass of Back Bay IPA. The soup was thicker than we generally like, but it was tasty with plenty of clams. The IPA was terrific - if it was the only beer I was ever able... More

Staying in Fenway / Kenmore

Neighborhood Profile
Fenway / Kenmore
The Curse of the Bambino may have ended years ago, but loyal Red Sox fans will continue to infiltrate this home to historic Fenway Park, where you can find victory banners, people yelling in stereotypical Boston accents, and lots of sports bars. Located within Kenmore Square, the old gas station Citgo sign is another Boston skyline classic seen throughout the city. In addition to a hectic and diehard sports mentality, this neighborhood is also home to some of Boston’s many universities. Move from Boston University territory to that of Northeastern, and spend time at the famous Museum of Fine Arts. For more culture, check out the smaller but equally beautiful Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. Continue off the beaten path and check out the green space in the Back Bay Fens, a pretty community garden. This diverse neighborhood has a mix of universities, sports, culture, and more residential green space.
