Sometimes has slow service. Food is really good though. Close to the sam adams brewery. Love bringing out of town visitors here. Has a parking lot which is super helpful.

Good food. A staple for a friend that lives locally. Went for a business meeting for dinner. Retuned for a beer the following day solo.

Pretty cool ambiance and unique for Boston, but none of the food stood out to me. Went with my parents and my girlfriend. We each got something difference and shared. Veggie burger was mushy, pizza was pretty predictable, wings were weak. The burger was the only thing that stood out. I would consider returning for that. Service was okay. Dude... More

This is a nice restaurant/bar in JP. The food is unexpectedly good. Try the calamari, very well done. The crowd is a nice mix of young hipsters and young families. Weekend nights, a musical event off to the side of the restaurant. Give it a shot, you'll like it.

I love the rotating specials here. Pizza is creative and delicious, and the standard by which I judge all other pizza. Excellent beer always on tap. Perfect for families, dinner with friends, or date night.

Our friends came a long way, from Oregon so we decided to take them here. Also, our realtor friends was throwing a customer appreciation event the same night. Great place to do it! It was a lot of fun. The space is great but I do miss their old spot, candle pin bowling and all. Food, atmosphere and staff always... More

Last night my wife and had dinner at Bella Luna. It is located in a restored brewery building. The owners of the restaurant are welcoming and excited about their enterprise. The service was friendly and prompt. Locals frequent the place which is a sure sign of excellence. In the interest of transparency, I should advise that two of the owners... More

I went with my wife and some friends for dinner and we sat at the nice patio they have. A tattooed woman, who I think is the head waitress, came and told as off because we were supposed to get inside the restaurant and wait to get seated (we didn't realize because the patio has its own entrance). She told... More

We just went there for breakfast because we were doing the Samuel Adam's brewery guided tour and it was the closer cafe we could spot. My brownie was as hard as a rock so it was quite challenging to eat it... But the roasted turkey sandwich was good. Choose wisely and you will be happy! It took some time to... More

Made an Open Table reservation at Bella Luna. We arrived at our required time. Good amount of parking available, big plus. First, we waited 45 minutes past our reservation time. Second, the hostess was somewhat rude and could care less if we were waiting 45 minutes. Finally, we sat down and the wait staff seemed befuddled and could not get... More

Staying in Jamaica Plain

Neighborhood Profile
Jamaica Plain
This Boston neighborhood feels like a distinct community unique and separate from the bustle of other areas. Beautiful Victorian homes, restaurants with an emphasis on being eco-friendly and providing local and organic food, and a large Hispanic community. Visit Centre and South streets for restaurants, cafes, and little shops. The Arnold Arboretum is a beautiful, large green space well worth a visit if you venture to JP.
