We love that we have this very different restaurant in our neighborhood. The food is really good, and the renovation has made the atmosphere even better. The service is always fantastic. We love to try new Moroccan dishes every time we go. And we even like the Hookah lounge once in a while, it's different and lots of fun!

we had never tried Moroccan food before and decided to go for it with a GROUPON. Tangierino is a very aesthetically pleasing spot, very clean and over the top but fun decor. We had a reservation and the restaurant was empty upon arrival. They put us at a very small, cold, table near the window. This was obviously a GROUPON... More

We get to Tangierino about once a year, generally for a birthday or anniversary. The food is often inspired but never less than good; seafood especially can be a delight, and appetizers are always interesting. Drinks are outstanding. The decor is cheesy, sure. But what brings us back is the people - from valet to hostess to wait and bus... More

As a fellow hooka loving middle-eastern...this place SUCKS if your going just for hooka!! - They don't know how to make a hooka. We order three different hooka's all tasted burnt; super strong that made us constantly cough; I don't even think they ever wash their hooka's properly!! We had to go back and forth 4 times with the waitress... More

Visited with a friend. Had the vegetable tagine it was delicious, very flavorful. Oysters served with harissa sauce, amazing. The ambiance was interesting. Curtains dividing tables for privacy and to create the "Moroccan look". A belly dancer sashays through the restaurant dancing around the tables. I would return for the food.

If you're seeking something a bit different, have I got a place for you! Sit in a Sultan's tent with belly dancers shaking by while devouring a delicious lamb shish. Be sure to make reservations because this place gets really busy! Not the least expensive restaurant but 9 out of 10 times I leave feeling like I got my money's... More

The decor is quaint. The wait staff is very friendly and attentive. I ordered the Meze for an appetizer of hummus, olives, eggplant and pitas. Very tasty. For the main entree, I ordered the Frites*8 oz. tenderloin, mushrooms, truffle pommes frites, black truffle sauce steak that was cooked exactly right for me. The baklava was excellent. I went down stairs... More

Moroccan food is great, but most Moroccan restaurants are mediocre. It's a shame. Tangierino is mediocre, barely. DECOR: Ridiculous. This isn't 1975. It should be INSPIRED by Morocco, not a cheezy reproduction of the casbah. The worst are the tacky, dust collecting, red table curtains. Get rid of them. NOTE: The chairs look comfortable, but the seats are actually very... More

I have eaten at several great Moroccan restaurants & have to say Tangierino Brasserie is one of my 2 favorite Moroccan restaurant. The other one is in Paris on the 13th arrondissement. Tangierino is a must visit for great dinner, food & entertainment in Charlestown Boston. It's with in walking distance from the Navy Yard pier. Tangierino's tangine, couscous, eggplants... More

Staying in Charlestown

Neighborhood Profile
Charlestown’s hilly roads, narrow streets and gaslight lamps, make it an enticing neighborhood to visit. Follow the Freedom Trail over the Washington St bridge from the North End or take the scenic water locks to Paul Revere Park. Walk through City Square and stroll down cute Main street, wandering up the windy residential streets to Monument Square, where you can learn about the city’s history along with a great view of Boston at the Bunker Hill Monument. While it’s not a huge area, there are some excellent restaurants. Find your way to the Charlestown Navy Yard, which is a developing area with lots of condos and an additional site for Massachusetts General Hospital research centers. Here you will also find the USS Constitution Museum. After you’re done, hop on an MBTA ferry at the dock on Baxter street and zip on over to Long Wharf and the New England Aquarium.
