The food at this tiny hidden gem was marvelous. We arrived early and luckily there was one table left. The service was great and the atmosphere had a homey feel while the food was fantastic with quite a selection to fit a variety of appetites. Prices were great for the large amount of food that comes with every meal. The owner, Theo, even came out to chat with customer's and offered up his own hot sauce that he made which was out of this world. We will definitely be back again in the future!!

We arrived on Sunday about 10 and there was a small line outside the place, always a good sign. After about 10 minutes we were out of the cold and seated. Solid coffee to start things off. I had the breakfast special pictured consisting of eggs, sausage, toast and home fries. Good portions all tasted great. Very limited seating but worth the wait if you are in the area

Four of us ate breakfast here on January 2. It's small. Almost, but not quite, cramped. The food is delicious and old school GOOOD. I had the Western omelet which was packed with veggies/cheese/ham and was nine inches wide, six inches high, and 2 inches thick. Impressive and tasty. The Hash and eggs were awesome. The Eggs Florentine were perfectly poached but the muffin was a little burned and the tomato was a winter tom. (What R U gonna do? It's January.) The hollandaise sauce on the Florentine was triumphant. Four filling breakfasts and coffee totalled $60 plus tip. Worth every penny. Service was spot on, too. Recommended. Just know that in the winter cold you will feel it when the door opens to allow someone in. (We survived.)

Love this place! It IS VERY cozy... only about 8 tables. We waited about 1/2 hour (line is outside because the cafe is so small) and it was well worth it. Food is plentiful, prices are so cheap and service is great. If you get to North Boston (which is an awesome neighborhood to explore), make time for breakfast or lunch. We had eggs, potatoes (so good!), bacon, French toast and pancakes. Recommend all three.

When in Boston, we usually get breakfast at another place that we like a lot. This time, we decided to try Theo's, based on Trip Advisor reviews and it's proximity to our hotel. We were not disappointed! It was absolutely delicious! Our food was hot and tasted like home cooking. The staff could not have been nicer and more accommodating. Note: this place is tiny, so you'll probably have to wait outside until a table is available, but tables turnover pretty quickly. Also, it is CASH ONLY, so come prepared. It is well worth it!

Great authentic 'old skool' breakfast spot. Fluffy pancakes piled high, omelettes loaded with fresh veggies, toast that comes buttered, all kinds of breakfast meats (US staples and some Brazilian), homemade hot sauces, and at reasonable prices. So many of these homey breakfast spots have disappeared, places like Theo's are a treasure. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The space is cozy, but that leads to some fun interactions with those around you if you are in a social mood. The bathroom is clean and spotless and bright but an experience to get to! If you have mobility issues you can run across the street to the public bathrooms at the Paul Revere house...or if you like late night tv or spooky movies getting to the bathroom is a fun adventure without the danger. :-)

We first went on a busy Saturday morning, joining the queue outside and waiting for approximately half an hour. It was well worth it! The food was amazing and the atmosphere inside, whilst a little cramped, was cozy and warm. Perfect for a breakfast/brunch and the smell of the food being cooked really makes you want to go back for more. Which is what we did three days later!

Fantastic breakfast with superb customer service. The eggs Benedict with capers was fabulous. My husband had the corned beef hash topped with their special “Theo’s hot sauce “ really great. The French toast looked beautiful topped with fresh strawberries and banana slices.

$100 including tax and tip for breakfast for four adults plus a ten and twelve year old. Great food and you won’t be hungry again until tomorrow. Diagonally right across the street from Old North Church where we went for breakfast before attending 10 o’clock service. Plenty/lots of choices on this diner menu including Brazilian options. You won’t believe the place seats 30! Could be a line, but it moves fast and your (very tasty) food is delivered in short order.

This is a 5/5 local joint that’s happy to serve tourists, or most anyone, a taste of the neighborhood. It is crowded and fabulous. It’s loud and eye-opening. It has great, hot, hearty, well-prepared food with service that is fast and funny, kind-hearted and usually patient.

Judging from the long lines, this is a neighborhood gem. The host seats you quickly and the cozy corner place is comfy and feels like someone's home. But stick to the basics. The couple next to us at the front window "bar" wolfed down an enormous breakfast of pancakes, chocolate french toast, omelette, and something else i dont recall. If you have a huge appetite and want breakfast items, come. If you don't and want a light salad, forget about it.

Exceptional steak and eggs for breakfast. Theo's place was really relaxed and had a massive sense of family and 'a popular with locasl' vibe which was something we really enjoyed as tourists from northern England. The service was exceptional - refills of coffee and eager to ensure we had everything we needed. We would highly recommend to visitors to Boston looking for breakfast. Thank you for having us.

As a New Englander, this was by far one of the best breakfasts I have ever eaten. The service was nice, the food is cooked very well and quick, and though the restaurant is snug it gives it that homey feel. Wouldn’t recommend any other breakfast place in Boston.

Ate there twice during our stay. Bery small restaurant where you share condiment with neighboring tables. Large portions, fantastic pancakes, light, fluffy and stay hot for a long time. Friendly service but hurried due to the size of the restaurant. Great spot.

Very small family place. Very kind people with excellent service and product. Everything is good but there are 2 EXCELLENT and hard to find offerings that you must try! The picanha steak either with eggs or rice and amazing black beans is a star! I’ve had both ways. No regerts!😁 The other prize is the Muquecas Fish & Shrimp Stew over rice. Transcendent! Get it spicy which is perfectly seasoned! Last weekend we showed up @ 2:00 (they close @ 3:00pm) when the family had sit down to eat together. We felt awful disrupting their lunch. They sprung up with smiles and worked thru it! It is a rare privilege to witness a family breaking bread together during their busy day. Old school. I’m humbled. The bathroom is for the brave only😄 Walk through the galley kitchen and they’ll open a trap door in the floor. Knock on your way out and they will open it for you….so far!Fantastic!! What a great find and so worth the wait! Cash only.
