From the moment we entered we knew we were in for good food. The service was terrific as well as our food. We started out with the mussel appetizer to share. The mussels were in a wonderful buttery, garlic, and wine broth. Prepared expertly. No tough mussels. Between three of us we scooped up every drop of the broth with... More

Excellent food and attentive service in a warm inviting atmosphere. Unassuming location as you walk down Prince street - well worth stopping in for dinner. Family owned and operated.

It pays to ask the locals where to eat. Sal at the laundromat said we should try Artu; so we did. We were dragging a large suitcase of clean clothes but the young lady told us no problem and dragged it off to a safe place. I ordered a lamb with marinated eggplant sandwich and my daughter ordered a chicken... More

Our dishes were fine. The neighborhood has so much good Italian food, the best thing about artu is the location.

This gem is located on Prince St at Hanover St in the North area of Boston. We made reservations on a Sunday evening of the holiday weekend but some others managed to walk up. This is a busy area full of amazing restaurants and dessert pastry shops. Our server was in her 70's with an authentic Boston Italian accent. Others... More

The servers are excellent, the place is very nice. A real pleasure to sit at the bar. The dining room is very nice too. The facilities are exceptionally clean. We had a panini and a pizza margherita. The panini filling was divine, prosciutto, mozzarella, tomatoes, basil, oil. Really great. The bread was a little too white and puffy for me.... More

Came here at random after night out on the town. Staff was very friendly and got seat at bar with friends. Got the lasagna and it was GREAT! Would definitely come back to try other dishes

We thoroughly enjoyed the pasta bolognese and my husband really loved his chicken Marsala. Our server was very passionate and honest. The red sangria was tasty too.

Looking for a quick take out pizza. Found Artu, and it looked nice. The take-out pizza was a sad, pitiful pizza. Such a shame.

I went there last saturday for a dinner. The bartender gave me the menu without even looking at the customer, waiting for me to ask for a drink and the water. The food was good the service not really that

Neighborhood Profile
North End
Wandering around Boston’s North End can feel like being transported to Europe. Stroll down Hanover and Salem streets for the finest Italian restaurants, bakeries, cafes, and a few boutique shops. Take part in the big debate as to whether Modern Pastry or Mike’s serves a better cannoli. Before your food coma sets in, make sure to stop by historic Paul Revere’s home, and follow the Freedom Trail to Old North Church and Copp’s Hill Burying Ground. Take a rest in a cafe on Hanover street and observe the quirky, European character of the North End.
