This was OK Italian food but nothing amazing. The look and feel of the place is very hip and raises one's expectations for the meal. The food was fine and I could find no specific fault in it but it was not what I'd call...great. This was our second night out in the North End in as many days and the restaurant immediately down the street from this one was much better.More

My fiance and I ate at Assaggio on Saturday night and had one of the worst dinner experiences we have ever had. We are residents of the North End and have gone to almost every restaurant. The pictures below are where we were seated -...next to 2 closets in the basement and next to the stairs. We could not even have a conversation due to staff running up and down the stairs the entire night. No decorations. Just not worth the money for the experience.More

We are Marriott folks and our concierge recommended Assaggio's - it was surely one of the best in Boston's Italian district for sure! Food quality is excellent - the best Broccoli Rabe and Pesto spread for sure! All our choices were great! A nice appetizer...is the onion ring, shrimp and calamari combination - surprisingly great together. Dig down for the calamari - there's plenty there! Give this place a try - it is a must!More

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary with a staycation weekend in Boston this year. We chose to dine at the bar at Assaggio on Saturday night. We cannot say enough about the wonderful experience we had. Shannon was our bartender. SHE IS AWESOME, AWESOME,...AWESOME! She made us feel so welcome and was so accommodating. We picked items and ate our way through the menu - The food was fantastic!!! (burrata, carpaccio, carbonara, lasagna, beef short ribs, wine and yummy martinis) Even when Shannon was so busy with service and other patrons she never stopped smiling and never made us feel rushed - She always had time for us to answer questions or grab us a drink. She is the epitome of impeccable service. We had such a great experience! Thank you all for making our evening so special!More

Went to another Italian restaurant in the North end the night before and just didn't have the kind of Italian i was looking for. This place had some great traditional lasagne which I was looking for. I would highly recommend.

Ate there last week with friends. Pasta was perfectly cooked, food was outstanding, ARMT (our server) was excellent. I Love this place. Great location

Split the linguini & clams and chicken parm with my daughter - both tasty - linguini was better than the chicken which was only a little above average. My son had short ribs which he loved and devoured. Other kid got gnocchi which he also...liked. It was a very good meal.More

Spent a lot of time reviewing all the different restaurant week offerings and Asiago stood out. Atmosphere was a little tough since we got a seat downstairs and it smelled a bit musty. Service was a bit slow but I’ll give them the Benifit if...the doubt since they may have been slammed due to the special event. I’d like to try it on a more normal night, food was OK but nothing to rave about.More

Had my wife's 50th birthday party here. They treated us like absolute royalty. The food is incredible and everything Frank Depasquale does is just top notch! Amazing service and decor. Would highly recommend

Excellent pasta, good service. The seared tuna, however, came out very well done, cooked hard and so salty it made me think of salt cod - or high blood pressure. I asked the waitress "was this described as seared on the menu?" She agreed, said..."that's too bad" and left.More
