The wait staff have always been good, the service is good, and I have always enjoyed the food. I like the wine list and they have a full bar. While like any North End restaurant it can be a bit pricey it is more affordable than many. All good things, I even proposed to my wife there. But there is... More

It was crowded and to shorten the waiting I accepted to eat sitting at the counter. The location looked very nice but I've not completely experienced it due to my accomodation. Dishes were well prepared and tasted good. However, I didn't feel in an italian restaurant; dishes were ok but I've not met italian people serving tables. It's on the... More

Great food. Best I've had in the North End. The seafood is cooked perfectly. The red sauce is delicious. Great crusty real Italian bread.

Traditional older North End Italian restaurant. Calamari was nicely done - fresh, not greasy, tender. My wife had Bombolotti alla Buongustaia (uniquely shaped pasta with tasty Italian sausage and goat cheese). I had Pollo Gino w/chicken and eggplant. Both were tasty - the house sauce was light but flavorful. We had a size of sautéed spinach which was good, traditional.... More

I would not go again with all of the other options available within walking distance. It was cold and rainy and my daughter and I were looking for some good hot food after being chilled to the bone while taking in some sights. There were several places in the immediate area to choose from but we liked the look of... More

The food was good and atmosphere was nice. But our waiter talked so fast and felt like he didn't want to take the time for us. I got the seafood ravioli and it was very good, but some in our group said it wasn't what they expected. Overall tho they need to improve on how they leave customers feeling.

We were 2 couples and went there on a Thursday night, we got a table real fast. The service was very nice and polite. The food was excellent, tasty and hot. The prices are reasonable (plates around 20$). It is not the first time I come to this restaurant when in town. Every time I am satisfied. We will certainly... More

Went there with my wife and daughter on a bitter cold Sunday afternoon. My daughter parked the rental car about a half mile away ($40) and followed her iPhone GPS to our location through the winding maze of Boston's Little Italy. She, like we, were warmly welcomed by the owner. I opted for the three course, multi-choice, prix-fixe dinner ($38)... More

Staying in North End

Neighborhood Profile
North End
Wandering around Boston’s North End can feel like being transported to Europe. Stroll down Hanover and Salem streets for the finest Italian restaurants, bakeries, cafes, and a few boutique shops. Take part in the big debate as to whether Modern Pastry or Mike’s serves a better cannoli. Before your food coma sets in, make sure to stop by historic Paul Revere’s home, and follow the Freedom Trail to Old North Church and Copp’s Hill Burying Ground. Take a rest in a cafe on Hanover street and observe the quirky, European character of the North End.
