I have dinner at Prezza every time I'm in Boston, and have for about nine years. Without a doubt, Prezza is one of the best restaurants in the North End. The food is exceptional, the service is excellent, and its just a beautiful, warm and welcoming space, especially after a recent renovation. However elegant though, Prezza somehow always feels like a neighborhood place, which, of course, is what it is. James always greets me, and several of the servers always stop by to say hi to me, and my daughter. I was there most recently last week, alone, on July 23, and I have to say that I felt very safe. James made a bar table banquette at the farthest end of the bar from the door for me, the tables were socially distant, they limited the number of people inside, ensured there was as little contact as possible, and there was disinfectant available on request. There is outside seating too. As usual, the food was outstanding. I had the tuna tartare which is one of my favorite summer appetizers there, because its just so very fresh and so sublime, and the corn raviolini with rock shrimp and pancetta, which is ridiculously good. I came in thinking the scallops, which are always so sweet and perfectly cooked, but the corn raviolini won out. Lisa, the bartender, served me and poured my wine! I took the white chocolate bread pudding home because you simply cannot miss that, but I will say that it's much better when cooked there. Everything is better at Prezza!

The cheese arancini and accompanying ragu was simply devine. Venison was cooked to perfection and served with sauce that worked perfectly to bring out the flavour of the meat. Cheesecake light and perfect finish to the meal

We made reservation here end of July. Our server was professional and extremely knowledgeable helped us make decisions and creatively coordinated our experience (I want to say his name was Robert but I’m unsure ) We started with a wonderful bottle of wine. Their wine list was so impressive I spent 20 minutes just looking through it. We started with the fig appetizer and that was exquisite. We decided we would try the ravioli di uovo for a second appetizer and loved the unique taste. My wife had the scallops which were done perfectly, seared nicely and very very fresh. I wanted something different so the chef made me a combination of two plates and it was amazing. More seafood then one could imagine and all cooked to perfection. They went over the top on my plate but it was about making their customer happy and they succeeded. Thank you Prezza for an incredible meal.

Based on the stellar reviews , we decided to try Prezza. I have to say that while the food wasn’t terrible , it was very mediocre and quite sad for a place in the North End. If your idea of a good Italian restaurant is Capriccio or Al forno in Providence, you will be highly disappointed. The crispy shrimp appetizer was bland . The burrata was decent but seemed like market brought and not made in house and the $34 ravioli with pumpkin and brown butter was ruined by the excess of carrots added to it . It was strange because the dish would have been amazing without the carrots . Finally, the garlic bread was decent but very oily and there was barely a hint of garlic. We mentioned this to the waiter , not that we asked for any money off . He hurried off twice saying he would talk to a manager but no manager came . This was another warning sign .. any respectable place would have the manager out in a jiffy unless they regularly get complaints. I saw another table send the entree back as well . We got a cookie , 2 small cannolis and a macaroon. They were just like the others , ok but nothing great. All in all , the food was overpriced and average . We spent over $200 for 2 adults and a kid and the waiter never even asked if we needed a drink with the main course even though our glass of wine was empty . I would recommend not going here unless you are out of options .

When my daughter asked me what I wanted for Father's day dinner; I immediately thought of the halibut and pea risotto at Prezza. They have certainly perfected this dish; add in the grilled clams and sausage appetizer along with the meatballs and a serving of polenta and broccolini; we were all satisfied when paired with a glass of chianti. Paul specifically took care of us and we were quite pleased with his excellent service. Enjoy

A tough meal to figure out. Nothing was wrong or bad, but we all thought it would be better. The apps and a couple of dishes were not hot. The steak tartare was just ok. The scallops were a bit. The waiter was friendly and attentive, but slow and forgetful in bringing things to us. The final issue is that it was more expensive than we thought. We’re not shy about prices, but we thought it was about 20% more expensive than we thought it should have been.

We were looking for a great Italian restaurant that wasn’t too touristy and stumbled in while walking by before they got busy. We were so lucky! Great atmosphere, our waiter spoke fluid Italian and made great recommendations. My husband and I split the beef tartare and clams…amazing!!! Then we ordered the meatballs with homemade paperdelle pasta, the whole dish was hearty and delicious and the sauce on point! Highly recommend!

(I’ll preface this by saying the both diners are Italian, and one is pretty picky!). For the most part over the past couple of years, dining out has been just OK. Food is expensive and often suboptimal, and staff is short in numbers, stretched thin and unhappy. More often than not, I have felt ripped off. But not at Prezza! We stumbled on Prezza quite by accident, but what a find. Although we did not have a reservation, we were able to get a table for two. The staff was wonderful but our server, Ephraim, was outstanding. He has worked at Prezza for over 20 years and is a wealth of knowledge. He was attentive and always helpful. He really listened, and his recommendations were perfect. Lovely presentations with the food. One of us had the branzino and the other, halibut over chive risotto. I have to say, the risotto was one of the best things I have ever eaten! Dessert was the white chocolate bread pudding and the cannoli with cookies. I'll avoid more superlatives, but let’s say they were the perfect end to a wonderful meal. The atmosphere was just right - cozy and welcoming and well as clean and neat, even the restroom! (My mother always said that if the restroom is clean, the kitchen is clean). Noise level was good - conversations were easy. I wish I had some photos, but we were so caught up in the experience, it didn't occur to us! If you find yourself in the North End, add Prezza to your must-visit list!

We were recommended this restaurant in the North End so saved it until our last night. A bit disappointing really. Cosy atmosphere which meant I couldn't see the menu, very experience but food just average and small portions, you had to pay for separate vegetables total cost of meal was $180 my husband had the fillet steak which was cooked just as he liked but the outside had been burnt

We enjoyed the buzzing, friendly, professional service at Prezza. Our waiter was charming, old school professional; attentive and efficient. I ordered the halibut which was a hearty size of perfectly cooked fresh fish with a delicious mixture of purée and lightly fried veg. My dining partner ordered the shrimp pasta which was flavourful and cooked to perfection. This popular North end restaurant didn’t disappoint and has definitely become our favourite in the neighbourhood.

I have been going to Prezza since the day it opened. It was my first time back and the place was buzzing! Their menu has their classics that I love: Wood Grilled Squid & Octopus and Wood Grilled Veal Chop (huge). They also had many new dishes. It was the first time I had Smoked Ricotta Ravioli with Braised Veal; and Scallops, Peas on Risotto with Rabi. The sauces and flavors are are the best! The wine list is extensive and the 7 year old Brunello was delicious. The Barrel Aged Negroni as a starter really kicked the night off.

I have never written a restaurant review but feel compelled. The food at Prezza was especially flavorful and exactly what you would expect for the price point. The ambience is lovely. The server was a jerk for no reason that I can fathom so will not recommend or return. (We were polite and understated and hopefully needless to say appropriately dressed. I ordered a glass of wine as did my friend and husband. We also ordered many different dishes.).

A great dinner with couples in the North End. Prezza is a jumping spot on a Saturday night. Modern seating with booths and tables, a lively place with a very sufficient staff that provides great service. Extensive wine list (I love that) and a nicely varied menu with a somewhat modern approach to Italian (I.e. no chicken parm.). Well executed at every stage. I had a fabulous Bronzino and the chicken and the meatball entrees were also enjoyed. On a list as a best Italian in Boston - I see why.

My husband and I had dinner at Prezza while vacationing in Boston for the first time, and it was the best meal of our trip. My understanding is that it is more northern than southern Italian - so not what you're looking for if you're craving red sauce and meatballs. The ambience was welcoming, and it was nice to be off the main drag of the North End on a Friday night. The service was impeccable, the timing perfect. We split the bibb salad, which was fresh and delicious. I had the pear marscarpone ravioli, and my husband had the corn raviolini. Both were so good. We split a bottle of wine from the extensive wine list. Fairly pricy, but seemed comparable to a lot of places in the city. Would definitey recommend Prezza for a nice night out and great food.

Their classic dishes are always the same high quality: Wood Grilled Octopus/Squid & Braised Short Rib. For the Pasta dish I usually go with the Bolognese but they had Chestnut Raviolini with pulled duck - Delicious. It's all about the sauce! For our main course we had the Veal Porterhouse and the special, Venison. All with wonderful Italian wines. We love to start with a Negroni. The Manager David attends to all the detail and always steers me in the right direction with the Vino. Our server and the wait staff were top notch. There was a happy, festive buzz in the air!
