There was nothing really special about the vibe, service, or food. We were there for an early lunch, so maybe the place livens up at other times. The kielbasa was oilier than any other sausage I've ever eaten, but the stuffed cabbage was tasty. The boiled pierogi were nice, but the fried, again, were really heavy. I should have been... More

Lunch today was exceptional. Meat pierogi, kielbasa twists, breaded mushrooms. A variety of Polish beers and other goodies. To die for.

Recently returned to Café Polonia. We heard that it is under new ownership. The meal began with an order of Potato Pancakes, which were fantastic. Unfortunately the meal went down from there. The stuffed cabbage arrived almost cold, which was sent back for a reheat and still arrived not very hot. The sauce on them was basically tomato soup -... More

I stayed at the courtyard by Marriott in South Boston. I was on line and realized I was in Polish South Boston. I saw cade polonia and decided to give it a try. well, it is the one ofbest polish restaurant in the US . The barszcz, borscht, is just like my grandmother made. I had the goulash with dumplings, and... More

We ate there for dinner - every one was happy. Just before leaving town we HAD to go back for lunch. Potato pancakes with slices of smoked salmon was on everyone's list -- and no disappointed folks in this group. When one thinks of the expensive brunch buffets that have smoked salmon (loxs) and then see the amount of beautiful... More

Our trip to Café Polonia took me back to my Polish roots and childhood. The restaurant was busy on a Friday night and we had to come back in an hour after trying to get in at 7:00 with no reservation. It seemed like one waitress was trying to get it all done and really hustling. All of the dishes... More

Where do I start? Thank you TripAdvisor for directing us to this restaurant. I used the app on my phone to locate restaurants near where we were staying which was in South Boston. This place came up as one of the top rated restaurants and I now know why. We had a group of 5 and we were all hungry.... More

The restaurant was comfortable. However I found the food was just OK Now the people we were with loved there food so it could be what i ordered but it was kinda pricey as a dinner for 4 was well over 100.00 For what you got overpriced. The staff was good not great. This is a small location so you... More

We were looking for a Saturday lunch spot in South Boston and picked Cafe Polonia off a list of TripAdvisor possibilities. What a wonderful choice! We got there around 11:30 and had no difficulty getting a table. Diners arriving after noon needed to wait. We started by splitting the tomato and mozzarella salad, which was fresh & tasty. We split... More

Best polish food I have ever had. Great service too! I had the polish plate and so did my husband. The entire Polish triangle is great.
