We came across this place at the beginning of our tour around New England. We enjoyed our lamb schwarma & mixed kebab so much that when we returned to Boston 2 weeks later we made sure that we paid another visit. This time we had another mixed kebab & a falafel & hummus platter - the falafals were delicious &... More

Hummus plus the schwarma lamb/beef sandwich were both excellent. I have been there twice in the last week. One of my new favorite lunch spots.

the greek salad is iceberg lettuce and some small pickles, which was a disappointment. falafal and hummus had nice flavor, but the pita bread wasn't extraordinary. nice server, but the service was slow. atmosphere is pleasant and casual.

This is a great spot away from the regular foodstuffs typically available downtown. Food service is fast despite how busy it can get. Portions are lunch sized, ok we had lunch. The taste of the shawarma was great. Loved the falafels on another visit. For the Hynes Convention Center it's very convenient for food (less than 5 minutes walk).

The hummus and baba ghanoush didn't taste like they should, and the kebab's presentation left something to wish for. I'd recommend the place solely for their falafels - they were lovely.

Ordered chicken shawarma. What came was nothing like real chicken. It was strange texture, rubbery/soft, salty and horrible. Some kind of processed stuff? Having lived in the Middle East we were very disappointed with this food . We expected slices of real chicken on a spit, then carved. No recent reviews so maybe changed hands? Don't go there even tough... More

We love the food here but the place is always WAY too smoky. This has been going on for months and months. My eyes hurt for about 5 hours after the meal. They need to to get some air filtration going!

I had their special of the day, a schwarma sandwich with a Greek salad. Really fresh and filling. A bit messy, so get a spare napkin. Price was very reasonable. Definitely not a greasy spoon. Great staff and prompt service!

After a few days of restaurant and pub meals while staying at the Colonnade, I really wanted a change: one night just by buying food from Star Market up the road, another by going to Cafe Jaffa and finding Middle Eastern food beautifully cooked - the falafel rolls were tasty, even succulent, and left room for the unexpectedly large helping... Staying in Back Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
