Great spot, right off of Gloucester St (you have to go down an alley to get to the entrance). The service is always fantastic. Enchiladas are always on point. Plus they mix a mean cocktail and have a decent beer selection. Not to mention that the back patio is a transcendent summer spot.

The service is nice but the food used to be better and they are making the portions smaller and smaller. The appetizer guacamole is tasty but super small.

We had a very pleasant dinner at this nice little restaurant in Back Bay. The margaritas, I must say, were exceptional, the wine list was not large but very well chosen, and not expensive if you select wisely. Service was quite good. I enjoyed my meal, but I'm not sute I chose wisely because the portions were immense and I... More

Not really their fault, but not accepatable in absolute terms. Food was good and priced OK for Boston.

I grew up going to Casa Romero for special occasions only. Whenever I am home visiting my parents, I can convince them that seeing me is a good enough occasion to go to Casa Romero! I love this restaurant and wish there was one in Philadelphia. The margaritas are phenomenal. Best chips and salsa. The chile rellenos are to die... More

This restaurant is tucked away in Boston's Back Bay. It's entrance is from the alley side, which is highly unusual for the neighborhood. The restaurant decor transports visitors to Mexico. They serve dependably good Mexican food, specializing in Mexico City cuisine. This is a more higher end Mixican restaurant in Boston, and it is highly recommended.

Go ahead, brave the dark alleyway, it's worth it. This is a really good Mexican restaurant that even has an imaginative menu (which is unusual for a Mexican restaurant).

Funky basement space. After cold day, the warmth was wonderful, but quickly it became stifling hot. Service was on the slow side. Food was a bit different than traditional Mexican food, but was good and appealed to all. Prices were a little higher than I expected.

We happened to be in town for Cinco de Mayo and were able to get a reservation for an early dinner time. The margaritas were very good, the Guacamole was tasty, our chips were fresh and not oily, our salad was very crisp and fresh, and our enchiladas were excellent. Overall a very good Cinco de Mayo!

Staying in Back Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
