Having eaten here from the days it opened in the early seventies, this place has maintained its food flavor, ambience and uniqueness over the years. Having not been here in the last 8-9 years..living in the burbs, we recently meet friends here and have rediscover it as well as its garden section, which we missed as we usually went here... More

Excellent, excellent, excellent dining experience! Down the alley, through very quaint dining rooms and out to the patio garden and you are transformed to somewhere magical! Delicious margaritas, both of mine were spicy; the Picante and the Tamarind and I would return for those alone but the food surpassed my expectations! Do try the guacamole, very fresh and perfectly seasoned.... More

My wife and I decided to give Casa Romero a try because of the draw to well-made Mexican food, tequila cocktails, and the presence of the infamous yet delicious Huitlacoche on the menu. I can't go any further than to say the food is good. We tried two Huitlacoche dishes, the Quesadilla and the Tamal. Unfortunately, the Huitlacoche in the... More

We enjoyed a lovely evening here last night! Right from the start Herman made us feel special. The drinks, food, ambience and service were all simply amazing. Can't wait to go back and enjoy Herman's new mescale infused drinks and dishes!

Tucked in a little alley off of Newbury Street, this was one of my favorite places to grab a bite to eat. Absolutely fantastic food and wonderful staff. Nice little outdoor area for when weather is nice. Highly recommend

Four of us had dinner here on a Saturday while in Boston for business. We arrived at 7:30 for our 7:45 reservation, and the hostess seemed aggravated that we were early. We appreciated being seated almost immediately, as we were starving after a long day's work. The dining room was crowded and noisy but not uncomfortable -- more of a... More

On the advice of people in my apartment building, my girlfriend and I stopped in for a late lunch, and we were NOT disappointed! Ask to sit on the patio if the weather is nice, you won't regret it! The food was amazing and my margarita was strong and delicious. I went with their steak sandwich and my girlfriend went... More

Staying in Back Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
