When in Boston, when younger, i would always go there.....now as a late 50's guy, i went with my daughters and wife and enjoyed it as much... a little dark, a little noisy but good food and good value...a Boston classic

Their breakfast sandwiches are amazing. I didn't get to try much of the rest of their menu because the breakfast sandwich with egg, cheese and sausage is just unbelievably addicting. Nice place to eat on a good weather day as they usually have the windows wide open.

Great place for lunch or dinner. Perfectly located on Newberry street in the wonderful Back Bay district, little apart from all the other restaurants. We have tried the fish plates and they were wonderful, very french style in terms of preparation and presentation. Great bread pudding! Maybe a little expensive ...

Beautiful summer Wednesday on Newbury St. Walked past a few restaurants, decided Sonsie looked nice with its open airy tables. Well well well we were so disappointed! We both ordered a Strawberry, RomaineRoasted Beet Salad for around $13, and it was the blandest dressing and barely any strawberries or beets. Such a small salad for your lunch too. So many... More

A favorite of local sports players, smoking hot ladies, and trendsetters locally. Located on the west end of Newbury Street, Sonsie opens to the Street in good weather. The bar is always a happening spot and the servers are phenomenal. Reservations from Thursday to Saturday are a.must, the bar gets crowded during peak hours but that can be the best... More

Booked as a family on our first night in Boston. I wanted a steak and for $28 I had a delicious steak and fries. Kids had v tasty fish dishes and my wife ate chicken. Loved the atmosphere - classic American brasserie but food was so good. Recommend you come here!

Good menu, reasonably priced, friendly efficient staff. The restaurant is really nice inside and the crowd is quiet young. The only reason I didn't give 5 is the morning we were there a girl was taking pictures of various dishes at the table beside us, not sure if she was a food blogger but the staff seemed to make a... Staying in Back Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
