First time at this Legal Seafood. Whenever we visit Boston we get scrod (not available in California) or lobsters. Food better than other L.S.'s I've been to although the scrod was a bit dry.

Convenient when shopping and close to Copley square hotels. Solid basic fish and seafood. Seafood always fresh. When you crave good basic seafood this is a good place to turn to.

My wife and I were in the city attending a performance of the BSO on a Saturday evening and decided to try this Legal Seafoods since it's not far from Symphony Hall. The waiter was outstanding; great job on wine paring and very attentive. I had the king crab legs, which were fantastic. Very few places sell these, and Legal's... More

This location did not disappoint. I've been to other locations in Boston, but never here. The only criticism I have is that it was hard to find. We are not Bostonians so we did not know that it was inside a mall. We finally accessed it through the Marriott after I asked a parking attendant. Once inside the shopping center,... More

Good clam chowder and good lobster. The rest of the menu is kinda weak. The place has become to "touristy". But not a bad meal.

We liked this restaurant so much we ate there twice on our 3 day stay! The seafood is fresh and cooked to perfection. The servers are knowledgeable, polite and friendly. We had the three fish platter - thought it was the choice of three fish. . .no, it's three pieces of different types of fish, as well as scallops (utterly... More

We went here first after checking in our hotel (Westin). Up on the second floor of the Copley Place Mall. We went to the bar where we were greeted with friendly bartenders. We ordered their specialty drinks - Margaritas and Pomegranate Lemon Drop both delicious! We also tried their Crab Cake (out of this world good!), Shrimp Cocktail along with... More

Always an excellent dining experience. I preferred the location at the Pru but this location had great views if you get close enough to the windows

Last weekend my husband and I had lunch at the Copley Place Legal Sea Foods. The ambiance was pleasant; we were seated near a window with a good view of Boston and the walking trail below. Then a large gathering of toddlers and parents were seated near us. Because we had the one noisy group, the hosts decided to seat... More

Description
We know shopping induces hunger - and Legal Sea Foods reels in those who want to splash down for a meal or grab-and-go. Our restaurant is located on the upper level of Copley Place, with direct indoor access to both the Westin and Marriott hotels as well as to the Prudential Center. Panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows overlook Boston's historic South End. Here the views and the seafood are second to none.

Staying in Back Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
