My husband and I had dinner at the Legal Seafoods at Copley Place. Every time I go to the Boston area I aim to have Legal's lobster roll. This time the lobster roll was subpar. The lobster itself tasted fresh but it was drowned by too much chopped scallions which I've never seen in previous lobster rolls. So I just... More

The lobster roll (sandwich) was delicious; soft but slightly crunchy & buttery roll filled with a generous portion of sweet lobster.

Legal Sea Foods offers consistent quality sea food regardless of location. We selected specials for an early dinner and both were excellent. The host and server were very personable and efficient. Highly recommended.

Good, quick service. Lobster rolls were good; chowder was excellent. Fries were crunchy w/ fresh cole slaw.

Fresh seafood- very impressed. I will admit when my niece suggested we go here I was skeptical as it is a chain and she kept saying - no it's not a "chain -chain" like you think. So I gave it a try. It was outstanding. Very fresh. We had a litlte bit of everything. The clams were outstanding, the shrimp... More

Let's face it, if you are gluten free, the typical restaurant GF menu is limited and usually sans bread. So, imagine my delight when I was offered warm, delicious GF rolls! This was a first time visit for me and I ordered the baked Wild Salmon with asparagus. Pricey, but the dish met all my expectations! Everyone in my party... More

My son had never been to Boston and I had to take him to this restaurant. The food is always tasty fresh...perhaps no better seafood anywhere.

Legal Seafoods is a local legend. We had family dinner and every meal was splendid. The teenagers struggled with the steamed Lobster, shrimp pasta was great. I had the seafood casserole. The surf and turf was cooked just right. It is pricey, but for a family traveling, this is a place to experience a wonderful seafood dinner.

Thank Steve P

We know shopping induces hunger - and Legal Sea Foods reels in those who want to splash down for a meal or grab-and-go. Our restaurant is located on the upper level of Copley Place, with direct indoor access to both the Westin and Marriott hotels as well as to the Prudential Center. Panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows overlook Boston's historic South End. Here the views and the seafood are second to none.

Staying in Back Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
