You need reservations for this restaurant, or you need to be there at the right time and talk nice. We stumbled on this restaurant when the one we thought we wanted to go to had a super long line outside. Well lucky us. We were there with friends, and not one of us had a bad meal. We allowed our... Enjoyed a very tasty dinner. Must try - gnocchi dish and the veal dish together! Only thing I would say is that it is very noisy. Very hard to have a conversation.

Our friends recommended this place as a quick stop to get really good sandwiches. It is located in the back alley between several restaurants. My wife had the meatball and I had a Panino (prosciutto and fresh mozzarella). First off the sandwiches were huge and on fresh Italian bread. There must have been a half pound of prosciutto on my... My wife and I had dinner here last night as per a recommendation from our hotel. I like to judge restaurants on the entire experience, not just the food, including service, decor, cleanliness, etc. This restaurant is located in the North End of Boston. The seating in the restaurant is tight, the tables are VERY close to each other, which... More

Italian is one of our primary food groups and this restaurant is very good. Good service and selection. Good wine list.

Bricco is a large restaurant in the heart of the North End. The food is excellent, the wine list is long, and the service was very good. Our server provided helpful advice . One tip: When you make your reservation, request a table in the smaller of the two rooms on the first floor. The smaller room has a more... More

Bricco was recommended to us by our hotel concierge. We wanted contemporary Tuscan cuisine in Boston's north end and we were not disappointed. The food was outstanding and the portions very generous so my husband and I were able to share an appetizer, a pasta primi and a main entree. By sharing these 3 courses we got to taste 3... More

Their ricotta pillows are the best pasta dish in the north end. Delicious bread and olive oils are brought out after you order. Their meatballs are sensational. Their carpaccio is fresh and delicious. This is a must eat location in Boston.

The food and value was great at this restaurant. The pastas are made fresh daily! Definitely worth a visit. Only downside was it was a bit loud, not sure if it is that way all the time or if we just had loud neighbors.

Staying in North End

Neighborhood Profile
North End
Wandering around Boston’s North End can feel like being transported to Europe. Stroll down Hanover and Salem streets for the finest Italian restaurants, bakeries, cafes, and a few boutique shops. Take part in the big debate as to whether Modern Pastry or Mike’s serves a better cannoli. Before your food coma sets in, make sure to stop by historic Paul Revere’s home, and follow the Freedom Trail to Old North Church and Copp’s Hill Burying Ground. Take a rest in a cafe on Hanover street and observe the quirky, European character of the North End.
