In a place like the North End where all the food is amazing, it's hard to find a place that sticks out. Bricco does. The menu is traditional yet surprisingly inventive. The wine list is terrific too. It is close tables with candle light and perfect upstairs for an intimate meal. Don't miss this one if you are in the... More

This restaurant should be known as the best Italian restaurant in Boston. The servers know how to work the tables with no pressure to finish even in a packed dining room, and yet seamless assisting each other. The octopus is one of their signature appetizer courses. The unique pasta dishes can be shared as a first course. They offer excellent... More

I was part of a party of over 20 people for dinner at Bricco. We had a reservation. When we sat down, it appeared that we had one waiter and that ended up being the case. The result was a long wait for our appetizers and entrees. Because the service took over 2 1/2 hours, we passed on desert. None... More

Very good dinner at Bricco. The service was excellent. The beet salad had almost no beets which was disappointing, just a few very thin slices. The pasta was excellent.

Four of us enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Bricco. We started with drinks at the bar which is fun and lively. Our table was waiting for us. We enjoyed polenta with boar ragu, mussels, beet salad, and meatballs with ricotta for appetizers. They were all spectacular. For dinner we shared 3 pasta dishes which were delicious. With a couple glasses... More

From the moment we want in it was 1st class. Starting with the greeter, a great waiter (Cesare de Martino), ambiance and, of course, the food. The stuffed veal cutlet was wonderful and ample for two. Accompaniments (salad, bread, veggies) were just right. Definitely on our 'must return' list for Boston.

I visited while vacationing in Boston - treated my friends who hosted me for the week. I asked a good friend who lives in London, what his Bostonian brother and family enjoyed - BRICCO ! I enjoyed the Vuvu cosmopolitan, followed by the Butternut Squash soup, the sausage and cheese ravioli in a cream sauce with roasted cherry tomatoes and... More

We were really looking forward to going to Bricco after reading the reviews. I so wanted this restaurant to meet our expectations (I rarely write bad reviews). However, Bricco was a disappointment. We made a reservation ahead of time and were hoping for an authentic, cozy Italian meal for two. We were seated at arguably one of the worst tables... More

Our second time dining here - atmosphere is hopping - fun bordering on hectic. My meal was very good, my daughter's was a spectacular presentation and good, my husband's was mediocre at best. I probably would have given this a 4 out of 5 if not for the prices. We've dined elsewhere in the North End with equally good food... More

Went to a show, hit the North End about 1030 and they were still serving, got a table, immediate service for cocktails, very nice menu, food came out quickly (probably due to the time) and it was excellent. It was a little noisy (Red Sox game on) but bearable. I was very happy and so was my wife. Would definitely... More

Staying in North End

Neighborhood Profile
North End
Wandering around Boston’s North End can feel like being transported to Europe. Stroll down Hanover and Salem streets for the finest Italian restaurants, bakeries, cafes, and a few boutique shops. Take part in the big debate as to whether Modern Pastry or Mike’s serves a better cannoli. Before your food coma sets in, make sure to stop by historic Paul Revere’s home, and follow the Freedom Trail to Old North Church and Copp’s Hill Burying Ground. Take a rest in a cafe on Hanover street and observe the quirky, European character of the North End.
