This restaurant was advertised on the Howie Carr radio talk show, and Howie claims to have eaten there. Crowded, dark, noisey, not a restaurant for a romantic evening. Waited at the bar until our table was ready the bartender was a young lady robot drink maker with no smile or personality, had lemoncello martinis that were good. Ate dinner upstairs... More

Was planning to eat Italian but saw the steaks were the same as Peter Luger from NY and decided to go big. The 32oz Porterhouse was absolutely buttery. Loved it. Others had Italian dishes and loved them too.

The Italian pasta menu is terrific as are the beef offerings; however the Italian specialty offerings are sparse. That said, all of us were pleased with the food, libations and serfvice

We ate pasta dishes and they were good but I didn't give it 5 starts because I thought my gnocchi were good but the sauce that came with it was totally insufficient and a quarter through my dish it felt dry. My friend had a lovely dish with pasta and truffle oil. The desserts were good. I was tempted to... More

Made reservations for my bday, but the table wasn't ready. After about 5 minutes of waiting at the bar, the manager asked what we'd like to drink and said it would be on the house for my bday. We did have to wait about 15 minutes for our table, but they served us a very nice glass of red wine,... More

Buzzing Italian in the North End of Boston. We were a party of 5 on a birthday meal and the waiter as a surprise presented the birthday girl with a pretend cake and a candle - beautiful service! Would certainly go back for a special meal.

Located on the North End of Boston, where almost everything looks romantic, just take a walk and see! Expect it to be packed at top hours, call ahead or make a reservation. Candle light dinner, very romantic. The food, for my taste, wasn't as savory but it was good still.

Neighborhood Profile
North End
Wandering around Boston’s North End can feel like being transported to Europe. Stroll down Hanover and Salem streets for the finest Italian restaurants, bakeries, cafes, and a few boutique shops. Take part in the big debate as to whether Modern Pastry or Mike’s serves a better cannoli. Before your food coma sets in, make sure to stop by historic Paul Revere’s home, and follow the Freedom Trail to Old North Church and Copp’s Hill Burying Ground. Take a rest in a cafe on Hanover street and observe the quirky, European character of the North End.
