If you find a place you like, go back, and we did. A lovely table, a great wine at a reasonable price and exceptional food (duck pappardelle, crab, tuscan bread soup) and all professionally and correctly served.

Came to Toscano after the restaurant we had originally selected for dinner was unavailable. We were a party of three with no reservation but it was quite early when we arrived. They graciously took and stored our luggage while we dined since we were heading out of town later than evening. The three of us shared an order of grilled... More

previous reviewers are right about this highly rated restaurant. It serves authentic Tuscan food, really good pasta and speciality dishes so you can eat expensive or reasonable price.Don't be put off by outside appearance as it opens out to be a spacious large restaurant.Very busy,we had to book 2 days in advance to get a table.Evening only spoilt by pretentious stuffy waiter... This is one of our go to restaurants when in Boston. The excellent food is always paired with excellent service. The food was excellent as always but the service not so much. Our waiter seemed distracted and standoffish. The food came out in a timely fashion and was well prepared. The waiter never warmed up.

I always expect a bit of a wait on a busy Saturday night, but on our most recent visit the wait was almost an hour between ordering and receiving our entrees. One person ordered an appetizer, and that did come out in reasonable time. The waitstaff was very professional but offered up no explanation. That said, the food was delicious.... More

We visited the Toscano on our first night in Boston and were not disappointed. The food was excellent and not too expensive. It is located on Charles Street which is a great location. The staff were friendly and I would definitely recommend it.

This is an excellent Italian restaurant situated in charming Charles Street serving excellent food. Reasonable prices compared with outside of Boston. All the food was excellent especially the crab risotto and lobster with asparagus. Served by mature waiters who were interested in giving good service rather than the robotic insincere attitude of so many waiters in New England. Do go... More

Visit this historic and ritzy Boston neighborhood to soak up its classic New England charm as you stroll down cobblestoned, gas-lamp lined streets. Bring your walking shoes, camera, and select a nice day to wander through the hilly neighborhood and check out its exclusive addresses. Louisburg Square, Mt. Vernon street, Chestnut street and the extremely narrow and widely photographed Acorn street make a nice walking path.
