I chanced upon this place while I was looking for a reasonably priced Asian food joint in this prime downtown Boston location near Prudential Center and thought I will give it a try. I wasn't disappointed. The basement restaurant was clean and spacious and the menu offered a wide variety of food and beverages to choose from. Service was fast... More

Legit Thai I go with the pineapple fried rice with and chill Thai tea. I've also had the pad Thai and crispy duck as well. All three were legit.

Hidden on the ground floor on Boylston street, this is a great lunch spot. The chicken pad Thai is phenomenal. The take out is prepared quickly. The amenities are very basic if you eat there.

Small basement Thai restaurant with delicious food and great staff. There is a lunch menu which is great value, but the full a la cartel has some Thai classics that are spicy and true. Staff are friendly and professional

The food here was good, not great. The portion sizes are quite large, so take that into account when ordering. 3 of us had pad thai, which was good. They fish dishes were the best. We had the Mango Salmon, which was delicious. Our guest had the whole fish, which she said was quite good. The service was very, very... More

Had a very delicious meal at the Chilli Duck. Doesn't look much from the outside, but the Thai girls serving are very friendly and helpful. The meals come out very quickly and are very reasonably priced. Give it a go and enjoy.

It's a simple restaurant, nothing posh, and the charming Thai Ladies make you feel like you're in Thailand. Their Thai food is simply delicious that makes it my favorite restaurant in Boston.

As another commented: "Don't be fooled by the ambiance." Food is fresh, delicious and reasonably priced. Draws a college crowd which is a sure sign of quality and value. p.s. The restaurant is below grade so when you're looking for the entrance be sure to keep your eyes down below street level. Best health always, Supermom-in-training

Staying in Back Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
