We chose this place because it was an easy walk from our hotel and offered a number of vegetarian choices for our son. We all had pasta dishes of which the bolgnese was the best. My ear shaped pasta with sausage was not as interesting as it sounded, but OK. There was a good selection of wine by the glass.... More

On our last evening in Boston we went to this restaurant and were greeting with no wait time at around 7:30pm on a nice summer evening. Sitting outside we enjoyed our food and had good wine.

Eating Italian food in Back Bay (instead of Boston’s North End) is akin to ordering Chinese food in Alaska. You just shouldn’t bother. But if you were like us, and just too lazy to Uber it the heart of great Italian nourishment, you’ll find a prefect second best here in Back Bay. We loved the authentic aperitif and digestif offerings... More

The best Italian we eat in during our stay in Boston. Food was great and staff friendly. Great selection on the menu too and not too expensive!

I have celiacs and nothing makes me happier than a restaurant with a gluten free menu. A restaurant with a gluten free menu is generally sensitive to food issues and chances are there will be something good on the menu that I can eat. One can only eat so many salads. Well, Papa Razzi had a gluten free menu and... More

Right on Newbury street, Papa Razzi's is a great place for Italian food. The atmosphere was inviting and the staff was great! We sat at the downstairs bar and Brandon our bartender was so friendly and attentive! We decided to eat at the bar. Pasta and meatballs and chicken parm: delicious! I would definitely go back here.

I cannot say enough nice things about this restaurant. I am gluten, egg & diary-free. While not a celiac I am highly intolerant so I cannot say if this is safe for celiacs. They have a "scratch" kitchen & will customize your order to meet your needs. They have GF egg-free pasta & were able to make me a fabulous... More

We enjoyed this restaurant. The atmosphere was lively but not so loud we couldn't enjoy nice conversation. The portions were generous, so much so that my wife and I split a salad and entree without finishing. If you are staying in Back Bay it's very convenient, although I'd say you can get more authentic Italian food elsewhere.

Very good seafood mac & cheese. Large chunks of lobster, whole shrimp and calamari. Good beer selection.

Staying in Back Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
