I visited Masa on a Monday night with a group of business colleagues. The restaurant was practically empty and remained empty during our dinner. Everything we tasted was delicious, but that's about it. Service was slow (even with an empty restaurant) and the decor looked tired. Margaritas were too expensive for their mediocre quality. Basically, I don't recommend this restaurant... More

Sad that I had missed the much-touted $9.95 9-11 AM Sunday brunch, I was heartened to realize that brunch continues til 3, just at slightly higher prices. The low-priced deal runs AM and afternoon on Saturdays as well. We ate at one of 4 outdoor tables on a warm September day which was an enjoyable place from which we watched neighbors... More

I had read about this restaurant on the 40 secrets of Boston and was not disapointed. I took the 10$ brunch fiesta with the huevos rancheros : delicious ! The manager was SO NICE and toughtful when we told him about a peanut allergy. Loved the place !

The restaurant is located in the South End with limited street parking. We went there for brunch. It has the cheapest brunch items in Boston which are deliciously prepared on the weekends during specified hours. The food is very good and it has great decor. Saturdays are easier to get in as the hours are longer for the special price.... More

I will start by saying I wouldn't even give Masa a star if I could. Sadly, Google forces you to. Masa was not willing to accommodate my dairy allergy Masa was recommended as it as a great brunch deal. $9.95 for a tapa and main course. I called the restaurant to see if they can accomadate my dairy allergy. The... More

We were looking for an easy, local brunch spot, feeling like we should venture beyond the Beehive, our usual go to brunch spot. After reading various reviews we settled on a 'bit of a risk' Masa. Alarm bells should have been ringing when we waited 20 minutes and had to ask the server for a menu. We then had to... More

Dined on a Saturday morning with a party of 6 without a reservation and we got pretty lucky to get a table. We had an attentive and knowledgeable server. I had the michelada - beer spiced with tomato juice- I loved it. For my entree I had the breakfast burrito with rice, black beans and pico garnish. It was fresh... More

they have outdoor seating on fridays and saturdays and you can have your dog there but if you are drinking, per MA law, you need to order food and yet they only offer their tapas inside at the bar. it is a big deterrent for my office that is close by. We don't want to order entrees or overly involved... More

My husband and I had brunch here our second visit to Boston. The food is good but it extremely packed and noisy as ever. Its either you eat outside in the heat where its quiet or be cool but cramped and can't really here what your date or waiter/waitress is even saying. I get it ... its a popular restaurant.... More

Staying in South End

Neighborhood Profile
South End
Stroll down the beautiful brownstone lined streets while capturing views of Boston’s tallest buildings from a distance. Some of Boston’s best restaurants are scattered around this neighborhood. There are many gems to be found, from jazz clubs to classy bars and restaurants. It is also home to art galleries, interesting boutiques, artsy stores and SOWA open market during the summer months. The South End is a true find in the city, with a more residential feeling than Back Bay.
