I went to this restaurant at about 9:15 one evening and was directed downstairs by the receptionist outside. Once there I was told by the second receptionist that we would have to order within 20 minutes. I said no problem. Then I was told to go upstairs again to be seated. When I questioned this because of my bad knees... More

Tapas is a fun way to eat - you can try lots of things and mix it up with your dining partners. Tapeo does a pretty good job. It's definitely not the best Spanish food I've had in the US (and not nearly as good as the typical tapas place in Spain), but it is solid. I'd go back.

First time there, a friend suggested the place. The food was excellent and the service perfect. The place was busy and everyone looked like they were having a good time.

Been going here for years, ever since I was a student. Brought family over that were visiting. This restaurant is in Newbury street but you' d have to climb some stairs since the main restaurant is on the 2nd floor. Book open table, it's not available for lunch, only dinner ( at least when we went on a Saturday). Try... More

This is a popular downtown restaurant in a great area of restaurants and shops. Alas, we really did not find their food either authenic or very good. We started with mojitos that were heavy on ice and chunks of lemon, but not enough lime and mint. The tapas were average at best. The tortilla espanola was a bit bland, with... More

On the famous "Newbury Street" this hidden gem has excellent Spanish Tapas. Though I must say the portions are small you can try a variety of food/plates and not get stuffed with friends. Also have a bottle of wine as well too! Restaurant has two floors and get can very loud but not annoyingly loud.

I have never eaten anywhere where they offer small plate. I enjoyed that part. You most definitely need to try the tapa with goat cheese and artichoke and mushrooms. I also enjoyed the duck with berry sauce . The special was the pork with onions on top - it was tender but not taste I expected . My friend had... More

Expensive for what they serve. Food is not totally tipical spanish. Good patatas bravas. Not very good service, but it is ok. I wouldn't recommend it because it's expensive for what you get.

Neighborhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
