We had a nice assortment of tapas. Nice atmosphere and service. Albondigas de Salmon (Salmon Meatballs) were particularly good.

The Tapeo restaurant is situated on Newbury Street which is very lively and where all the designer shops are located. It is an ideal location for a restaurant. On the night we visited it was warm and we managed to get a seat outside which was a nice experience. The food was very good, with good size helpings and the... More

Loved this place. We walked up Newbury Street looking for a restaurant and came across Tapeo and I am so pleased that we did. We sat outside on a lovely warm evening. Our waitress was smiley and friendly and was very pleased that the menu was sectioned off for veggies, fish and meat dishes We ordered five dishes which was... More

This great little tapas restaurant is right in the middle of everything on Newbury Street. We had the imported marinated olives, ceviche, steamed muscles in spicy tomato sauce and sautéed artichokes; all was terrific but the sautéed artichokes were the best. It's a bit tight with tables on top of each other but it is Newbury Street. Reasonably priced and... More

Have frequented Tapeo many times on my numerous visits to Boston. We mainly dine there in the evenings - however,we decided to grab a lite bite for lunch last week. The food was very good but the service was a bit slack. The waitress for more casual and didnt seem to be too interested. She even forgot one of the... More

As the title suggests, easily the best sangria in Boston. Not too sweet, just perfect. The tapas are of great quality as well, the empanadas are my favorite. Great service too.

We had a great meal here. We sat outside and Newbury St is a wonderful place to eat and watch the world go by. Tapeo offered a large variety of tapas. Ours were beautifully cooked and served when you wanted them. There was no rush. It was busy but the staff were very efficient and attentive. Our waiter, Juan was... More

Boston hosts some really good tapas, and this restaurant is one of the contributions to the Boston tapas scene. They don't take reservations but have a wonderful ambience, and the tapa of the day is always a treat to look forward to

My girlfriend and I came here for dinner since she was wanting to try it. An important note about Newbury St and sitting on any sidewalk patios: MA law requires that if you have drinks on a sidewalk patio, you must also order food as well. Also, at Tapeo, they require that you order at least 2 dishes per person... More

Neighborhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
